  1. More importantly, it makes it look fit as f**k. But yeh, there are bigger savings to be made, but if you want your bike to be as light as possible, then it's worth it? I really lik the fact they're black instead of chrome, they look far better on black cranks. How about a similar finish on a chain Ad?
  2. Inspires confidence? My Pro2 does anyway. Get really annoying when your pushing along though. Same as a magura, a loud really bitey magura inspires more confidence than a silent one with no bite. (For me anyway, obviously everyone is different).
  3. I'd also check the headset is tight and that the cups are tight in the frame, my old headset used to creak because the lower race ring thingy wasn't tight on the forks.
  4. Double Disc on Mod, front Disc rear Maggy on Stock.
  5. Clearly it's putting more pressure into the pads, with the blade being about 30% longer, so the frame has all that extra force flexing the frame apart, and these frames clearly arn't up to it.
  6. Seen J9's latest videos? Shes cracked hers 6 times, and she's smoother than most, certainly smoother than anyone I know who owns a Koxx and hasn't snapped it.
  7. J9s one did the same thing Dave, they reckoned it was because of the lever she was running. I don#t see the point in them, they make your brake spongier, and can crack your frame, and they just feel like a standard maggy blade on your finger? Give me a 07- Deng blade any day.
  8. The Contis are far bouncier though and give more "feel" if you ask me. A rubber queen with a Maxxis DH Lite tube weighs 1127g, whilst a 2.5 dual ply minion with a welterweight tube weighs 1420g, which is a massive difference! The Rubber Queens last forever aswell, I've had mine for 6 months and it's hardly worn at all! (I think it's been 6 months, bought it off Ali actually). The only downside to the rubber queen I've found is that the sidewalls will wear out before the tread, mine are quite scuffed now. (This doesn't mean they wear out fast, it's just that the tread doesn't appear to wear because it's the black chilli fancy compound) So if you're smooth and run a fairly hard tyre pressure, get the Rubber Queen. If you are a basher and weight doesn't bother you, get Maxxis.
  9. Dude, he posted that 2 years ago. I think he's banned now anyway? And yeh, I think you're right there. ( the last bit)
  10. 770g isn't nearly a kilo Jack, it's 270g away! Yes, it's normal for a T-pro wheel to be that heavy.

Surely F1 comes first? Let me know when you've seen it then, I wonder how many of my/your theories from last sunday will be proven?

Don't think I won't come down there Michael! Same time same place on Sunday? Yeh, thought so. Don't watch it early this time!
  14. Ring up supercycles, they go complete hoses, main and crossover to the legnths you specify for £14 posted.
  15. I wouldn't say a King, they're none of those things if you ask me. They did make a prototype Pro2 mod hub with the intent of putting them into production, but I havn't heard any more about it. Maybe try phoning them? Pro2 Trials are a stock hub, they are for a 135mm spaced frame (gap between the dropouts), whereas as mods are 116mm. (apart from Montys, they're 110mm I think). I'd try ringing hope and see if you can blag one, it'd be far better than any other mod hub. (If you ask me, some people prefer profiles, some kings, all for different reasons). Seriously though, if you've got a Tensile FFW and fixed rear, just leave it, it's not worth it until you've upgraded the rest! The standard forks, bar, stem, front brake, cranks, wheels (almost everything basically) are good for beginners on a budget bike, but they're heavy parts, your money would be better spent on forks, bar and stem first if you ask me! Hope I've helped.
  16. Onza Rip? It won't fit on the rear, it's the wrong spacing. Stick with front freewheel, suits mods better IMO. (You can get a profile, but they need maintaining carefully and I've known a lot of people who trashed them).
  17. Dave, if your referring to the scheme were they're sending the frames round, it's not testing, it's a publicity stunt. The frames are already designed, tested and he's sold several already. Whats wrong with him being disabled? Ever seen 1handed luke ride? Or any of his videos? He's a really good rider, and this guy hasn't got a strap on the bar, so maybe he's just missing his index finger or something.

    What Pads?

Tommorrow at the latest I would have said, best email Steve to check though. I ordered my Yellows on Sunday night, they arrived on Tuesday. They're amazing though, good choice! I've got mine in Phatpads backing though.

I much prefer this years cars! Cleaner lines and squarer edges, yummy. I always thought that the old cars looked horrid, I love this years ones! (Mind you, I think modern supercars are ugly as f**k and 80s touring cars are the nicest cars ever made, so there you go).
  20. I wouldn't say "end of" at all actually, because CRC doesn't have 4 bolt mounts, so they won't fit on the vast majority of trials bikes. (Or decent pads, boosters, metal TPAs, lever blades, monty splitters etc). Any trials shop sells them, tartybikes.co.uk, selectbikes.co.uk etc. If you want second hand you can either go on Ebay or buy off here once you get validated.

Do they have to keep fiddling? Theres so many rules and regulations even the FIA don't understand them all! Shall we have a poll? Best looking car of 2009? I vote Brawn GP, they're so clean and tidy. I'm really keen on the Toyotas aswell this year.
  22. Thats an abortion. How come he's got both brake levers on one side?
  23. Thats not down to the bike, that's down to the owner being useless with a spanner. Did he not notice the cranks were loose?! For £350 you can get properly decent bikes second hand these days, the Onza Bird looks like a great start bike if you want to go new though, but top-spec bikes are going mega cheap these days. I saw a bike on here the other day that was up for about £350, the same bike a year ago would have fetched around £550-600 if you ask me.
  24. Check all the fittings are tight, do a bucket bleed, check the slaves aren't slipping in the mounts, check you havn't stripped the threads out of the TPA. If the slaves are slipping, try getting new C clips, I'm not certain but I think you can get the metal Echo ones seperate now? They work brilliantly apparantly.
