  1. This is a push bike trials forum mate, you may have some luck over at trialscentral.com, but I doubt it, the Motocross sub-forum hardly ever gets used on there.
  2. Yeh it's fine, I heard of someone on here that had a 10 year old one they had been using water in from new.
  3. There's air in there I'm guessing, I'd do a bucket/bath bleed if I were you and just use water, it'll feel far better and you'll get a much better bleed.

    Helmets

I find it impossible to try hard stuff without my helmet, I've known two people have major accidents through hitting their heads coming off bikes, one didn't have a helmet on and died, the other was in intensive care for 2 months! I know that was on road bikes, but you'll hit your head just as hard coming backwards off a wall.

    Pro2 Problem

Send it back, you don't need a reciept, the fact it has Hope written all over it is enough.

    Monty Freewheel

The one I had wasn't that good, didn't feel anything like as solid as my Tensile and skipped a few times in the couple of weeks I used it. My mate has one now, that skipped once or twice in the last ride we had.
  7. I'm sure that a rider of Sam's level can look after his bikes. If you could get them at trade and sell them on for what you paid or even a small profit, you'd change them that often aswell. (That's assuming he can get them at trade)

    16/11 Ratio?

Wide? They're like 2-3mm wide. A wide sprocket is like 5-7mm.

    16/11 Ratio?

Yeh I know but I did look for an 11t wide base sprocket a while back and couldn't find one, and there's no point using one from a cassette, the teeth are really short so it could skip if the chain is slack and it will dig into the freehub body.

    16/11 Ratio?

Not these days, it hardly gets used at the moment. I don't have a lot of power but Stan Shaw was running the same chain and cranks as me though on his XR26, I don't think he had any problems either. I wasn't really making a point, I thought it would have snapped by now, I've heard about these rings snapping chains really easily.

    16/11 Ratio?

Mod or Stock? I'm guessing it'll be a splined rear sprocket, you can only get 12t wide based splined sprockets I seem to remember. EDIT: I've been running 16:13 with a KMC Z610 chain for about 6 months, it's never missed a beat!

    French Cars

Looking good Ad! Come on MSN more often, you're never on now! Fancy staying over my way once you've passed? That'd be perfect to go to Koxx days aswell.....
  13. It would look so much nicer with a white E13 chain device. I really like the paintjob on the frame though! Nice and simple.
  14. Motocross is where people race round tracks against each other, trials is basically the same as push-bike trials, throwing bikes at rocks. TY80s are OK, but I'd recommend something more modern like a Beta rev and go 50, I once knew a bloke who got his daughter one. She used to beat me in competitions. Nuff said! (I was a 5ft tall 14 year old on a TY250 monoshock though, I could barely start the bloody thing let alone balance on top of it!) EDIT: Oh, and I'm pretty sure he can ride upto a 125cc as long as he's under 16? EDIT2: I'd get him a Beta 80 if I were you, I vaguely new a young lad who had one, he beat me at every single trial I saw him at. (He was also one of the top youth D riders in the country though). Try asking on trialscentral.com, you'll get more/better advice.
  15. Yep, you need a new rim. If someone says get Tensile Offset mounts, don't. I've heard it said so many times, but they only give extra spacing outwards, not inwards because the bit on the slave where the fitting screw into hits the bit where the mounting bolt runs through it.
  16. Unless you've bent the edge of the rotor by about an inch it should be fine, steel doesn't tend to weaken all that much when it gets bent. Just straighten it out and use it, I've never bent a rotor and replaced it yet. If it does snap, it'll just brake one of the arms off, it won't snap the entire braking surface off.

    Mothers Day

Popping round to her house at some point today with a card that came in a box instead of an envolope, looks posh but it was only £2. It'll mean more to her that I've remembered and bothered to go round than the actual card would mean to her, we've been getting on really well the last few months.
  18. How? He probably manages to sell them for what he paid for them if he can get them at trade, so anyone would do it! Seriously nice bikes Sam, get a nice stock next and I'll get saving.
  19. When did Jon own a stock? Must have been years ago.

    Grinds.

No it's not, lots of people don't like discs because the wheel flexes too much and the frame can flex more. I ran double disc mods for at least a year, then I got a double disc stock and the flex was just too much, so I got a maggy, which is far better on a stock IMO.
  21. More drive to get stuff done, better organisation, use my time more wisely, better arty designy type skills! I just can't do graphic design stuff for shit, and I need to learn if I'm going to be any good at web design.
  22. TI isn't brittle at all, it work hardens and can become brittle. Which is why after about a year Monty TI wheels fall apart! (I realise that's also a pretty bold statement, I was just referring to the grade used in spokes.)
  23. Cat, you get to run around and be nice when you can be arsed, or just sleep all day and no-one gives a shit. And if you don't like your family, you only have to go home for meals. Next doors cat can also bunnyhop up more pallets than I can tap, we proved it a while back.
  24. I'm liking that! Not that lever though, it's sick. Get a nice white 05 lever with a deng blade on there, perfect.
