  1. I had Monty TI spokes, they're alright on the front, and they last well if it's a decent built with Brass nipples (Alloy ones corrode onto them really badly from my experience). They don't like being bent at all though. Once I snapped one, I had to bend the new one to get it in, after that I was replacing 2-3 every ride. Luckily I had a spare set from when I bought a second hand Monty TI wheel, once I used up all the spares, I got Mutiny ones, the wheel was instantly a LOT stiffer and stronger. It probably added 50-100g, but that sort of saving isn't worth it when your spokes keep snapping IMO. I'll never have them again, far too much trouble if you ask me!
  2. I've heard of it being done before, frame didn't last long I'm afraid! Helicoil is the only real way. You can tap out to M6, but it means filing out the booster, new booster spacers, drilling the mounts, trying to get the bigger spacers to fit in the mounts etc. I.E: more trouble than it's worth.
  3. Looks like a fun spot! I shall have to learn these up to front thingies, they look like fun. That gap looked huge! Nice one mate. I want to see you bunny hopping 5 to back soon though.
  4. Just so you know, your rear rotor is on backwards, they can snap the arms off if they're on that way. (Apparantly, I've never seen it happen).
  5. Because he's a bit of a fag and is scared of FFW. We did add the weights up on MSN once, it doesn't work out all that different, only like 100-200g, which is worth it if you prefer Kings.
  6. Set up a camera and video yourself, then you tend to want to get something done more I find.
  7. You were so right with the wheels for the Dob, sorry I tried to persuade you to get white rims. They look amazing! Well the Dob does, I don't know if the other are nice or not, but I'll take your word for it mate.
  8. Nice pics Ad! What bars are they on the Yaabaa? They look fairly low and wide for you? Give us a shout next time your riding round there if you want, havn't seen you for ages.
  9. Nice vid Davey! Whats the score with the XTP? Did you get it replaced or is it still cracked?
  10. That looks so nice! Definately the nicest one I've seen so far. Would be a lot nicer with some black Try-All cranks though.
  11. Drop him an email. michael.singleton@trials-forum.co.uk

I wasn't trying to be threatening, I said maybe start a chain email so everyone knows he's not trading any more, (if that's the case), so they don't give him any of their money, because chances are they'll never see it again! Try reading what you're quoting Dave...
  13. Cheers Joe, I'll give that a go next time I'm doing my legs. I didn't touch the weights last week, I had a really bad week of going to bed late and feeling ill etc. Back on track this week though hopefully. (Famous last words. )

Surely it's just part of nature, at least humans kill their meat humanely, a lion or a shark would just rip it to pieces while it's still alive.
  15. It kills me if I don't though, its like they pull/tear too much.

With no premesis any more, wheres his stock being stored? I'd say far, far away....
  17. If you ask me, most supercars seem to have no "soul", they're really fast and are right at the limit for what the manufacturers can do with them. The older cars had their quirks and shitty spots, which was all part of the charm!
  18. Well that's how I would do it, and my Echo had 6mm of spacers packing the caliper out for over a year. Sorry for offering my ideas!
  19. Don't forget to warm up and stretch properly kids! My legs are killing now, I can barely walk after I decided to ignore the stiff/hurty feeling while I was squatting.
  20. Yeh I knew what you meant, I just thought you'd probably struggle to get it set up straight if you've filed the mount down. Personally I'd try bolting the adapter to the outside of the fork mount, then spacing the caliper back in with a load of washers first, I just think you'd keep it straight easier.
  21. I doubt you'd have to file to forks mounts down, just put a washer or two on the end of the hub axle. You could make the little plate out of stainless, it should be stiff enough, then if the plates only 2-3mm thick then you can just pack the end of the axle out. You might have to bend the forks apart slightly though, and the axle might not stick into the fork dropout very far, but it would save you having to file the fork! Another option would be to bolt the plate to the outer face of the disc mount, then just pack the caliper back in with spacers/washers. You can usually space the rotor out a bit aswell so it should be that hard.

Sounds like it's time to get the law on his ass! He's hiding away like a kid who doesn't want to go to school, yet his website is still online and he's able to steal your money? Something needs to be done to stop everyone from ordering from him! Maybe a chain email round everyones MSN address lists? I know they're really annoying, but if everyone fowards it to all their trials mates, then you might get the email 100 times, but it's better than not getting it at all.
  23. You need to try and get a go on a Long Mod, Monty's don't make good street bikes IMO, they're really short and best for natural.
  24. It's a hope dude, they're IS only. I'm sure it's doable, you best bet is to ask Adam at Tarty. Also I think Hope can occasionally do custom adapters and stuff like that?
  25. No they're not? A well set up magura bites a lot harder than a disc. And IMO they are shite in the rain, the pads turn into this grey watery stuff and you have to re-bed your brake in. (This has only happened to me in pouring rain, not just spitting).
