  1. Excuse me, but isn't TF for trials talk, and not for winging because you don't have any courtesy and people don't like it? If I were you, i would give up posting topics asking why people are responding with "you dont ride trials" etc. because it just annoys people more. So please, get a grip, be a man and stop being unreasonable and grumpy. Cheers, Joe
  2. This seems like the best idea if you have a front brake sorted already. After all it is a rear mono trials, which would be better than most brakes unless you manage to find a cheap BB7. Cheers, Joe
  3. Yeah, but its a hope replacement, i've had it about 2 weeks and i took it apart and rebuilt it twice! Cheers. Joe
  4. I always use my shinpads! I didn't have any for 6 months and my shins were wrecked! I bought some cheapo shinpads from JJB for £3! Bargain, and they have saved me so many times. Joe
  5. While on the subject of hope hubs skipping, has anybody had any experience with a hope mono skipping? Cheers, Joe
  6. Ive seen a lot of tensiles snapping recently, but i think you can get a half price replacement, or so i've heard. Joe
  7. Very nice! By the way how did you make the tensioner? Looks nice! Joe
  8. Very nice! On a serious note, if you are going to stick to cables, buy something better than the v-brake that this bike comes with. I had a 2.6 and cracked my head open because the brake slipped! 5 staples! Not fun at all, so I would reccomend an Avid of some sort. Joe
  9. Ditto! I've got a few pallets in my pub garden, but under a marquee so its always dry, light and warm! And a sound system! I need more pallets though, ive spotted a factory with hundreds of blue pallets! Joe
  10. Oh, because that helps! Do you have insurance on your bike? If not, there's a fair chance that you might be able to claim it under your house insurance. Joe
  11. Excuse me, but to what use is a bent crank?! So now 3 people on this thread have had snapped Tensiles, that leads to no conclusion whatsoever. I think that about 99% of tensile users haven't had their cranks snap, which is probably a better percentage than that of RaceFace users. I'm not saying that Tensiles are the best cranks in the universe, and that RaceFace are the worst but RaceFace are not trials cranks. End of. You cannot compare the two, as they are not for the same market. Joe
  12. I was just watching the video BTBIKE_PISANKA_V3 which is on the BT website. At about 3 minutes 28 seconds, he gaps a railway line whilst a train is headed for him full speed! A jump a few milliseconds later could've killed him instantly! So i was thinking, whats the craziest thing you've seen in trials, on a video or possibly riding? If you could get hold of any, then links to these videos would be great! Thanks to anyone who replies. Joe
  13. Black and white completely, white stem, black bars, white grips, maybe white HS33s, white rims, black rimtape, black hubs. Joe
  14. Yeah, just was on the magura website to double check. Joe
  15. Turbo Pad wear Adjuster (TPA) All of the above could be a problem, give your brakes a good check and try to single out the problem. Joe
  16. Ha! Most people I know use water, probably with anti-freeze. Seems to work well, and feels proper nice when set up well! Joe
  17. Looks cool, i've always wanted a multicoloured bike, let us know how it rides when you finish it! Joe
  18. Very well said, go for one of those options. Joe
  19. Hi mate! What size wheel is it you're looking to build? 19", 20" or 26" ? Also, what is your budget? Cheers, Joe
  20. Cool, i was thinking of building up a BT with a BB7 and an avid ultimate on the back. Joe
  21. I was wondering last night, how good would a trials bike with cable brakes be? (Front BB7 and rear Avid Ultimate). So who runs cable brakes, whats your setup and how good is it? Cheers, Joe
