I miss Lucy so much I can't explain it, I literally find it hard to live knowing she's not mine anymore.. but I've got to live. So I will. If it's meant to be, it will be.

Tell you what, this time of year is an absolute f**ker for making people single. I can see about 6 other long term relationships finished in the last week, I was just hoping mine wouldn't be one of them. Gargh!!

As some of you may remember, 2008 and 2009 were my years of doing non stop remixing and submitting to record companies. Having realised the competition in that section of the industry I imminently gave up and moved onto development. Anyway, searching through some old compilation CDs tonight I came across two old remixes and I found a cd of a tune which I never let hit the internet. Firstly; Madonna Remix Link here.. It was done overnight in a makeshift studio but still cut it enough to be put on a compilation CD somehow. Some of you may like it, some of you may hate it. Secondly; Rhianna Remix Link here.. Umbrella has never sounded so good, or bad, or whatever. Had fun making it, it got on the back of a dodgy record company's promo cd somehow! Finally; Travelling Song Story behind this is, I was travelling upto London a lot at the time so I've got an hour minimum on the train. Didn't have Logic (early 2007) at the time, so used the free program that comes with all Macs 'Garageband'. All inbuilt synths, all mixing done in Garageband (suppose that's why it's bassy). 1:45 before anything really happens, yeah great way to get a tune on radio. Think the unwritten rule is start the song within 30 seconds, otherwise people switch off. They've royally cocked this up..

Settings>General>Network Boom. Also, just go into an O2 shop and ask them to give you a sim for an iPhone. They'll transfer your number over..

Cheers dudes. I'm not so sure that the snare is really loud in the mix anymore, but I've got guitars and pianos mimicking the snare pattern. I'll bring them down a bit and see what difference it makes.

It's funny, I basically cut the velocity on every snare by under 10% and it seems to have had a MASSIVE impact on it. I've acquired usage of a 1963 mixing desk for mixing purposes a week Sunday; so this is going to get about as vintage as I like! Cheers for the comment dude!

Hey Guys, Basically, for the end of this year at uni I've been asked to write a song in the style of Amy Winhouse's 'Back To Black' album. Currently it has no lyrics recorded but I have some written out, however what I do currently have is the full instrumentation behind it. I'm also going for the same production sound; dry yet effected; very Motown. Unfortunately that's the moral of this, we live in a world where everyone lives for themselves and doesn't care for anyone else. I never ever leave my bike outside a shop ever, I don't even lock it up and leave it, I just don't trust the general scummy public (not that all of them are bad, just.. a fair few).

Sounds good dude, especially if you've not done it before. Only thing I'd add is that it needs to be compressed more and the EQ needs more top end for me. Then the rapping will be prominent but not in your face as much. Still good though dude!
