  1. LMAO! Towler: "I see dead people". Can't believe I missed that. Looked like an awesome weekend.
  2. Did anyone apart from me and dan actually ride Aberdeen last weekend?
  3. Easily your best yet - some real progression going on. Nice one.
  4. Right, having lived in Glasgow for a year I'll give you some decent advice. You probably will need ID (i.e a passport, drivers license, or a nationally recognised proof of age card like a Portman card, although not every club/pub is obliged to accept them so using one can be a bit of a lottery). I'm assuming you'll be heading out for a night in the town, going to a few pubs and maybe a gig venue/club later on? The majority of the biggest and well known clubs in town like Garage, ABC, Bamboo, Cathouse e.t.c all check ID as a matter of course when you get to the door and so do most of the pubs. The places I've just mentioned are the places you'd probably go for a night out if you were visiting Glasgow since they are the most well known - obviously you will be able to find smaller and more obscure places which are laxer with ID policy, but they're likely to off the beaten path and you mightn't get as good an experiance as you would in a 'proper' club. Obviously, if you look the legal age or substantially older you might get away with it - as you suggested the way you dress may affect this somewhat, but I would put my money on you getting ID'd at least once during the evening. As for the arrest thing, you aren't going to get carted off by the Police just for trying to get in. The bouncers will just turn you away. Last thing, how old are you? If you are 18 or over, it would probably be worth taking your passport with you - It might be out of date, but I reckon most bouncers aren't going to be bothered by that, or even check it for that matter. I would assume that they'd just check the photo and the date of birth, though this is just my personal opinion. There's a guy on here who actually bounces in Glasgow - his user name is Rob Thomson, so if you PM him I'm sure he could let you know how the out of date passport thing stands. Cheers, Strath.
  5. Just get the train and I'll come get you from the station...
  6. Just a bump for this. Me and Dan are coming up, and possibly Hamish depending on how his knee is feeling. Are all you Inverness guys still good for it?
  7. Yeh man, it's on the old military road above Kinlochleven. There was a 40mph crosswind when that pic was taken. It looks like you guys got awesome weather though. You still riding Aberdeen this weekend?
  8. I'm not amused. Whilst you were doing that, I was doing this...
  9. LMAO. I reckon the comments under the video on Youtube deserve a mention. They're brilliant.
  10. Hey man, I amen't heading to Ross's unfortunately. I've got mates visiting Friday Saturday, then I've got to go to the west coast to do Uni work. Well gutted cos last Sunday was totally mint.

  11. Noice stuff. Rail bail = awesome. Rob = SLAMBO
  12. Nice photos Chris. Was an awesome day. You'll have to come and ride Edinburgh sometime.
  13. Fraid not mate - a pretty old mark 1 actually! Awesome vid Ben. Well edited to a good tune as always. Top Stuff. Did the banana thing happen on the way down to Newcastle? If it did then I'm pretty glad I took the train...
  14. I've got a 24uk (the mk 1 version) and it's a really nice bike to ride. It's light, stiff, and the geometry's pretty much bang on for a mix of trials and bmx moves - it's just long enough to tap, but short enough to pull the front end up for bunnyhops and spins. It manuals like a beast as well. I do run a pretty long stem (20 mm) though, so if you were to put something shorter on, the response would probably be super fast, but taps and 'trials' type moves would be a lot harder. I've also ridden the inspired fourplay a few times and the most noticeable difference would be the extra length. I think it's something around a 2cm difference, but it makes a pretty big contribution to the overall ride. It's still excellent for bmx/street stuff, but if you want to throw a "pure trials" move like a big tap or sidehop into a line then it feels less cramped than on the 24uk. The geometry is also bang on - getting on the bike just feels 'right' and it's pretty obvious that the time spent on r and d was worth it. So... overall, both are great bikes. The 24uk is probably better for shorter riders. I'm around 5 feet so it should give you some idea of what I mean by cramped when I refer to it. So if you're shorter, and are aiming for a totally spinny, streety style, then the 24uk's a good bet. The inspired probably does have the overall edge over the 24uk though, in my opinion because of the extra length of its wheelbase. As I said above, this does make the gap between street/bmx and trials moves easier to bridge, allowing you to ride in a 'true 24 inch trials' style (i.e a hybrid of both disciplines) as opposed to simply riding shit bmx. Of course, the mk 2 24uk might be improved greatly over the one I have, but since not much information exists about it, I'm basing my opinions on the frame I have ridden.
  15. Nice stuff Towler, looking good on the wee wheels. Dunno about that fanny at the start though. Who invited him along?
  16. Right guys, I'm coming back from Uni for the weekend and if the weather's decent on Saturday, I'm heading out for a ride. If any of you Aberdeen lot are out and about then let me know.
  17. Finally! An truly original video in a sea of tap, gap, sidehop clones. The tail whip on the rail was Well done man, an excellent vid all round.
  18. Cool stuff man. Looked like a good wee session. The park is Unit 23 for anyone that wants to know - it's in Dumbarton.
  19. Are you kidding Ross?! We aren't worthy.
  20. Mine works fantastically. After taking around a week or so to bed in it's now easily the best brake I've ridden. It's got amazing bite and power, and just the right amount of modulation. I'm not even using a particularly amazing set up - deore v brake lever and normal shimano cable and my set up works just as well, if not better, than my friends 07 version with linear slick cable and an avid lever. It's performance is also easily on par with another friends hope trials disc.
  21. It was even more awesome seeing that in real life. The camera made some of that stuff seem smaller than it really was!
  22. I didn't just stand there. I stood there and laughed...
