  2. WAW cheers for putting pics up Rob im so chuffed now..I cant believe I look like an actual trials rider. Seeing Bigman gap was a spectacle too cheers for that!! also glad your still with us Tyler
  3. Uh, you wern't in Plymouth when that happened by any chance? that is the punishment I sometimes give to car drivers who dont pay due care and attention to cyclists. If you have good brakes/awareness/road sence and bounce in a relaxed manner when unintentionally dismounting your bike the chances of needing a helmet a greatly reduced. Id like helmets to be compulsory so I can be part of some more police chases. Soz for the dickhead(spicy) comments but I like to have serious fun.
  4. riding a motorbike without a helmet is one of the funnest things you can do, try it, its gotta be on a GSX-R or summit that accelerates, Love it. Iv been flying across busy junctions/roundabouts/motorways and taking full advantage of my 'rights' as a cyclist for about 10 years. Never needed a helmet yet baby o yea I can feel it coming though with all this gnarly natural stuff Im riding
  5. The parts are supposed to be extremely strong yet so light I think if you just put a scratch in any of them it will be severely weakened. Good to see this level of engineering in a humble bike part though. Their stems look lush, I want one.
  6. I found this stem from TUNE, specialists in ultra-light and ultra-strong bike bits...at a price, they do a few other bits including Carbon Fiber chainrings at http://www.tune.de/tune_gb/index.php?lang=...p;nr=1&new= Their BB's are worth a look too. Joe
  7. Johnsons baby Oil kind on skin ummm
  8. Looking at that pic, strangely enough Im starting to think just that.
  9. Its bloody wierd aint it, iv watched it happen on a mates bike. It looks like as the chain goes over the top of the rear cog (at about 10 O'clock), a link (2 pins) lifts off the cog and then snaps back again as it gets to 12 O'Clock. My mate just uses a Half-link chain now. Uh.. not much help really o well
  10. You have recieved a new feedback. Below are details concerning the new feedback. Type: Good Rating SummaryThe fastest darned buyer I ever known in these parts Given By: casualjoe You were the: Buyer Date: 1194638320
  11. Il be there for some fun, be it on a bike or rolliing on the floor, mabey in a tree. should be class as always.
  12. Good question, I think a good balance of both arms and legs (and a strong back) seems quiet productive. Legs are a the main thing I try and use while gapping, then I get tired and have to use the arms thats when punctures start happening.
  13. I sold mine for £90 a few months ago on ebay, bigged it up like it was a really strong and light frame, put all the dimensions down and it got loads of interest from beginner cyclist people.
  14. Could you post a pic, I am real interested in how you've done it as I cant see from your other pics. Im making a mahogony and jubilee clip tensioner similar to the steel one I have now.
  15. Cheers for coming down on Sunday Rich, watching your calibre of riding in the raw meat made my day (that 180 gap to back of bench was seriously brave), immortal riding man all of your vids are CLAAAAASS! Monsterous style
  16. I tried that years ago, then when I tried to do a 6ft drop, 12 spokes snapped at the same time with a horrible noise...not advised
  17. The mount needs painting or laquring because it is only mild steel but this is the best material for bending it on and off the chainstay. In this position it is difficult to land on it and also makes removing the rear wheel easy, ive found it to be a real 'fit and forget' tensioner. I found out bending the steel around the frame actually stretches it on the corners so you need a shorter length of metal for a snug fit, mine turned out to be 6mm too long so I hacked it off while it was on the bike. The general rule is to subtract the thickness of the metal (in my case 1.5mm) from the length of the sides for every corner it is bent around. The vertical slot in the metal strip makes it nice and bendy for easy fitment and removal. The tabs which bolt the strip together also supports the tab that the saw blade is bolted to to make it nice and stiff Unfortunatly this idea dosn't work too well for frames with tubular chainstays.
  18. Sorry if you read all the replies
  19. Have you tried swapping the wheels over to see how it looks?
  20. I was thinkin we could use the endless supply of tools at mine so if you could get a lift over... I aint goin out yours bud Im a slack-hed
  21. Bring it around my house an let me do it
  22. I think Koxx BBs are for comp use only. I broke 2 of them in a month of riding, the tiny lightwieght bearing balls crushed so avoid as there are stronger BBs for less money at the expense of a few g's --- like Echo
