  1. its quite loud though, not just a little ticking noise. I can feel it through the pedals. its definately not the headset either. Oh well just live with it i suppose. might mention it next time im in the lbs
  2. Just let my tire right down low and went out, bounced on the bike to flex it on the bottom bracket with both wheels on the floor. There is quite a loud 'clicking' niose. I think this is the problem. It seems like something is loose but im not sure what, everything seems tight to me this is really annoying me now.
  3. There seem to be a lot of frames that come and go. Are some made by the same people? Be handy to know because these seemed to be pretty bad.
  4. 'Nooiiccee how much was that mateeee, you any gd then bruuvv' reply: Enough and better than you.. rides off before beating is issued
  5. Is anyone from the south ie pompey area thinking of going (if it happens) if so be kl to tag along with someone, i dont mind driving, have a van. Just thought i'd put this out there for when the time comes
  6. im not having a go.. im sure the full vid will be good. Thats my opinion of what i saw. If you dont want honesty, dont put your video on a forum.
  7. yea they do stop in the same place. But its not to bad, the stiffness is only very slight. It might be the chain tightness it is pretty tight. Maybe i just have a bad case of this tight and slack thing.
  8. Ah right cheers. Maybe it's not that then. I'm just sorting out a video, it doesnt really show the problem, but may help. It sounds like i have loose spokes when im riding. Also my bottom bracket goes a little bit stiff in a certain place. I doubt this has any effect on the problem though.
  9. I didnt really like it. Riding style was good. But it needed less slow mo. more riding and more varied riding and locations.
  10. I think everyone has been there. Im not saying it will work as everyone is different. But a good idea would be to take her away for the weekend. You dont have to spend a lot of money just go somewhere different, have a meal etc. Just generally try and have a good time. She and you will probably come back with a different attitude and apprach to things. A change of scenery is always a good place to start. Hope this helps
  11. They can be evil them walls lol. Taking off and landing on uneven rocks can be a challange in itself. Best thing to do is start simple and work your way up. I'm sure i can find time to help you out anyways
  12. I've noticed that when coasting or pedaling along i get a funny noise from the drive on my bike. It's taken me quite a while to pin point the problem to the freewheel. What happens is when the bike is upside down You rotate the cranks backwards and the 'sproket' part of the freewheel moves up and down. Almost like it has an egg in it. This in turn causes the chain to rise and fall slightly. I assume this is what makes the noise, but is only when your on the bike though. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm pretty sure the freewheel itself is fine, i just dont like starnge noises on my bike. It prob wouldnt bother most people as its not to bad, but its not right Discuss. shay Oh if a video is and good because of my amazing explination, let me know.
  13. monty eagle claws seems to have a weak side wall when ive tried them. I've alwasy used creepy crawlers and never had a prob. Eagle claws may be just as good might just have been me.
  14. Buy some decent pads. Ask someone if you dont have or are not confident yourself to run an angle grinder over your rim. (metal disk) Use the tarty bikes rim brake hs33 set up and you'll be good to go.
  15. Are you drunk? I only drop kerbs...
  16. I have a bb5 160mm and its not to clever, slipped and i hurt myself quite a bit the other day, i really want a hope mono trial on the rear, my front hope is amazing. I'd say stick to hydro on the rear, million times better. i cannot vouch for the bb7 though, i expect it's a little better, but nothing on a properly bled hope.

    Long To Short

i have someone who wants my short frame so i may sell it and get the same frame but in long version. I think where the ko was soo long, measured up at 1055 or something silly, thats why im finding it so hard on a 1015 bike.
  18. Im 22 havent ridden for two and a half years at lest. Starting riding again this week, the amount i imrove each ride is vast. You should get it back pretty soon. You'll just have to deal with the aches and pains a bit more this time. ie, me today

    Long To Short

Dont tempt me i loved my ko! Back brake never slipper either. I will give the echo a good few months though and put some proper effort back into my riding. I dont think it will static back wheel and side hop as good though
  20. The bottom bracket drop might hinder you a bit when learning. A lot of people started on a frame like that and it gave them a good grounding for the sport.

    Long To Short

I've been out today for a few hours, rode a lot better. I think your right must be where i havent ridden, although it didnt stop my back brake slipping on a drop gap ( mechanical disks)

    Long To Short

Right basically i used to ride a ko long which i really liked and got to a 'reasonable' standard on. I did at the time think it may have been a bit long, I haven't ridden now for a couple of years (cars)lol and i decided to get a new bike and start riding again. I have just bought and echo lite short and thought, where i havent ridden for so long i would just adjust to riding the shorter frame. I went on my first proper ride yesterday only to find i was pretty shocking. I dont know whether this is because the bike is so different to my last one or i just havent riden for ages. I am going to give it a few months, if i dont significantly improve i suppose its a new frame? My ko had flat echo bars and the lite has try-all rage risers, if that makes much difference. Opinions or experiences on this would be greatly appreciated Thanks shay.
  23. croco browns on a light grind should be ok. OT: your bike looks mint considering the age of it. do youo use it
