snail cams need to be tight between the hub and frame when you tighten the wheel if this is not the case you need to try something else.

I'm in the same situation. Going back to a long bike (echo lite) and and not sure what stem to use. I was thinking a short stem ie 150mm might be better. Something like a try-all 3d. What do people run and how do they get on?

Apparently not, it made improvements to my brake, hope specifically reccomended this. I have to say it did make a vast improvement. I did however not enjoy cleaning my white rim tape The grit in the mud takes out some contmination. Then when the mud drys it holds some contamination and when the brake is used this flakes off taking it with it. They did say if the contamination has 'gone through' the pad then the water mud/mud mix would not be of any benifit.
