    Double Disk.

tentioner looks sweet. But im going to give the new pads and disk a try. Should be fine failing that im going to get my disk faced. I dont really see pushing the wheel forward helping as the pads are central of the disk anyway. Cheers for advice though. If all this fails i'll buy a hs33 frame, id rather stick to DD though, i have faith they can be better
  2. My next bike part purchase is going to be echo tr's, i cant see how the try-all's are worth twice as much. I have always though try-all are over priced. They do make some good stuff. But try to pride themselves a cut above the rest on pricing there parts high. Thats my opinion anyway.
  3. when were you last 'in the know' ?
  4. Onza pro diamond rims are soo light, are they any good cus they seems quite cheap and the lightest rims going nearly 200g lighter than my urbans Massive weight saving to be had there. Sorry feel im stealing your thread a bit. All reletive though
  5. I hate my heavy wheels damn urbans. I'd rather have light wheels and replace the rims twice a year or something.

    Any Electricians?

He will have a megameter (sp) for fault finding.. leave professional jobs to the professionals. Your interference will only hinder him and not mention its very dangerous. Dont think im being funny.. im trying to help you out.

    Any Electricians?

Sorry to sound harsh.. but you shouldnt be touching it at all (fuse box) Obviously your not 'part p' and niceic registered. So my advice would be to get a qualified electrician. If you know someone genuine this will not be an expensive problem to sort out. In case your wondering im a plumber and it annoys me know end when people 'have a go' then call someone. Just shows they are trying to save a buck or two. They end up causing more problems and costing themsevles more. Sorry about the rant, just being honest.
  10. how much do you think you would save making them single wall?

    Double Disk.

fair do's. I'll do it at the weekend and tell you whether or not the brake has improved. Cheers for the help.
  12. I have the exact same problem with my disk. I have tried everything. The only thing i didnt was heating the pads but i heated the disk. used engine degreaser, white spirit, water, mud, the lot and it still slips a bit. So i thought the only solution to be new rotor and pads. Peace of mind for £34?

    Double Disk.

I've just bought a gusset disk and new pads. Hope this helps. I'll spend some time getting the back wheel in the right place too. I think i'll just bed in with water, dont really want mud on my new disk, even though hope specify this to be the best way.

    Double Disk.

well i was trying to land on the front face just to spice it up.. maybe this is my problem. I think i will try the new pads and rotor. It's cheaper than a new frame and rear brake. Interesting to hear other people have had the same problem. I think if the pads and rotor dont sort it i will be changing

    Double Disk.

I've cleaned my disk.. with water and mud.. which is apparently the very best thing. Set it up to perfection as well. My last effort will be a new rotor and pads. Im running mono trials as well. I was expecting unparalelled performance and its not. In fact id go as far as to say my hs 33 with blue rock pads was better.

    Double Disk.

Im currently running dual disk on my mod. Ive done some searching and the general thought seems to be that this is the best thing since sliced bread. I find that when i back wheel a wall, if havent made it properly my brake will slip causing me to have no chance of recovery. I never had this with my hs 33. I personally find this a massive draw back. Also its put me off riding rocks etc as this would cause serious injury on them if i had slippage. Has anybody else had this problem or is it just me? I may try some new pads and a new rotor. So are there any preferences on these also. Cheers in advance.
  17. personal preferance. I got on well with oil..You get on well with water.. happy days.
  18. how much is oil? lol Are people really that tight. I dont think you should have a hobby if you cant afford to fund it. That said a water bleed does work ok in a hs33. I always bled mine with oil and my brake was amazing. Felt just as good if not better than any others i tried. My advise, bleed it with oil.
  19. Amazing riding! Good variation in the video. Love his style, sikly smooooth!
  20. Keep it tight? Thats not where its come loose. It come loose where the hose attaches to the nut. They look like they are just heat shinked on. Its not just the nut thats loose or it wouldnt be a problem
  21. Yea well the hose was fine then he said he had a problem. So i checked it out and the cross over was loose and leaking. I know for a fact he is harsh on the brakes. Some kind of cable would be better suited to him lol. Still everyone start somewhere. Sorry for hyjacking the thread a bit. But there is a valid point here
  22. I've never had a problem with one personally. But my friend has just broken his, leaks at the bottom where you described. I know for a fact he broke his because he is too heavy handed when he brakes. I noticed this when he twisted my hope levers on my bike grrr. Point being you be being a bit harsh on the brakes if they keep breaking
  23. No you can't. You can on the bb7. The bb7 would prob be slightly better. To be honest the are both rubbish in my opinion but then thats just me.

    What To Do

dont run before you can walk... I ride with a total noob. And he isnt ruining his bike pounching abouve his weight. I think you should stick with what you have but try and refine you technique on smaller things. I know this is easier said than done! My motto is.. i'd rather go smaller with style than big and it look a mess.. ' but thats just me. Its all well and good trying new things, but to me it sounds like your biting off far more than you can chew. Sorry for all the metaphors lol
