If you are struggling to learn it, try learning just to kick the pedals without worrying about the jump.
The wheelie-stop technique... Give one sharp pedal kick to get you on the back wheel, and from there, see if you can kick yourself along a little bit, and then stop, where you will bring the pedals back to do it again.
Learning it this way is more straight-forward, it's just like a pedal-kick only without the jump, which you add once you've got the timing down.
