In order - Take the pads out and the rotor out and clean them/ burn them with meths until they're clean, then go drag your brake down a big hill until it works, a bit of mud in there can speed up the process I think. Bleed the brake New pads New rotor Sell it and get another one. Somewhere between decontaminating the pads and rotor and a fresh bleed it should start working.

So this is a topic to say, 'Hey look, I used these brake pads and after a while they wore down!' Hey look, I drank some water and I pissed it out later in the day!

It's also known as grip tape or bar tape. I've never used any myself, but it seems like it might work if it's stuck to the bars well.

You can't bleed disc brakes with water, the brake heats up and very bad things happen.

It's preference, really. If you have a habit of messing chains up when you split them, use it. If you think you'll want to take your chain off some time soon, use it. If you want to use it just for ease or to get it out of the way, use it. If not, join the chain properly.
