The higher BB on the fourplay is hardly a con. It is barely high at all when you ride it, and it can only help to make ordinary trials easier on it. However, it doesn't compromise its street ability, either. A 24" bike needs a certain BB rise (15mm?) in order to be equal to a BB height of 0mm on a 26" bike.

Sometimes rubber degrades if it's just left. You might need to check you've put the end of the pump on firmly enough, and that you've closed the lever in the right direction. These are things that stop pumps that work from pumping up your tyres. lol

Did you buy a presta or schrader valve pump, and do you have the matching inner tubes. If not, there's your problem. If it does match, return the pump, or try harder to get it to work.
