I think he might mean the order you do it in?
When I last dished a wheel, I tighened the spokes on one side first, then loosened the others. It worked, albeit slowly. If I do it a bit more it'll be right, just, its nastily out of true (the last owner said it was badly buckled at one point - now there's equal tension in the spokes I'm beginning to see, lol. But who cares, Its a 24" full atomlab trailpimp, that I effectively got for like £5. )
