  1. I dont normally comment on websites as its an each to their own kind of thing. Everyone likes there own website because its their imagination (except for all you template boys) and there media/content. BUT jonny this site (IMO) is one of the best trials sites out there. The layout is spot on, and the ideas and conecpts within it are excellent. the shorties idea is really good, quick d/l, excellent quality ( i really love the HD compression and capture, its so much more impressive than anything else) LOVE the site, dont go back to the messy site you had before, this is the bee's knees
  2. suppose you cant please everyone, one minute two min vids are perfect another its 5min vids you all want , but cheers for the very nice compliments.
  3. so here is my new video, filmed over a variety of weeks from christmas until now, its taken a while cos i suffered internal bleeding at christmas, and a broken rib in january and various other niggling little injuries . So its taken a while BUT here it is, ive another coming soon i reckon but here is this one for now.. its 13.3mb on tv.isg.si and is using quicktime h264 compression EDIT: THERE IS NOW A .AVI FILE (DIVX COMPRESSION) ON THERE AS WELL WHICH IS ONLY 11.9MB. SO DOWNLOADABLE FOR ALL YOU GEEKS WITHOUT THE LATEST QUICKTIME. HAHA tv.isg.si link..... cheers boyos (and girlos )
  4. im 21, doing my placement in third year of uni, and having the best time. work 9-5 ride 7-9/10, the sleep, work, ride, work ride, on the w/e i ride all w/e. thats all i do. dont sell your bike, ull regret it and want to come back to it when you find more time. Its your decision, if you want to quit, QUIT. Simple as that. ill carry on riding until i cant, i love it, thankfully my missus understands and we have a great relationship also (she stays in south of france at the moment(until june)) its great ben
  5. sorry simon, like i said it was a culmination of some posts i had seen, i just think you are a bit too harsh, and put it down, instead of some hearty advice. We are all friends here, although i take back the fact i had mentioned it about the TB site because you knew it was someone elses design. BUT i still think a bit of advice rather than a blatant put down about the code or whatever being shite. meh im not trying to start an argument, i know your a decent enough guy even thought i have never met you.
  6. simon you do seem to forget that not everyone has taken the time to learn perfect coding, and does not aspire to this. give people a break, sorry this a post culminating from reading a few of your posts recently regarding peoples code. Not all of us are employed handling millions of pounds worth of website coding, give some people a chance.
  7. just sent him a message on messenger, see what he says ben edit: to quote him on msn. he said he will reply in a bit
  8. SO then, ALEX can patt put the vcd of hibernation up online, it would be much appreciated cheers ben
  9. Mark, your topic title isnt very descriptive. more appropriate would be "slow download speeds from deng/similar vids?, then look inside here please....." sorry to be a dick, but the mods make sure we all do it, so you should as well love you

    Picture War

and he spills his water into his new arm and it blows up im afraid.....
  11. The pads last freaking ages, had mine in a good two months now on a rough grind, in mud, wet, snow, rain, dry, sand, everything and i had mine cut back to around 4mm and they are only just wearing out now...... Excellent pads and the CNC backings will provide really good power through the brake. Thats my answer
  12. Well thats just uber bollocks that is, really really gay. PLEASE NOTE THAT IS NOT ME SLAGGING OFF THE UK BIKETRIALS COMP ORGANISERS....... I really wanted to enter the british champs this year, and this was my chance, not thats all been ruined. Ah well suppose it cant be helped, its hard for us scottish riders to enter nationals, i mean 2 reet southern rounds is unfair on us...then to de-clarify the only scottish round. I dont give a shit about you boys complaining - "ooooo fort william is too far blah blah blah" my closest round its in yorkshire me thinks which is a minimum of 6hrs drive. <<<<<<<<<<ARGH BOLLOCKS>>>>>>>>>> Fort william was a successful comp, loads of people turned up and it was an absolute superb laugh, i met loadsa new guys, and the street ride on the evening was great. So dont go saying its too far or its not a proven venue or anything shit like that...... THATS REEEEEEEET GAY
  13. I had a thought today, while working...... Does anyone have a copy of the VCD/DVD that trialsrider.com made? If so, would the editor and trialsrider.com guys mind if that person put it online for download, as it will be cool to see some of the old stuff. Also anyone who has any VCD's of old times, would they put them online for download, unless the owner doesnt want you too. Let me know please, and ill fire a link in here....
  14. I dont think the sidehop ws that big, maximum 48-49 i think, it was second or third go, and roof was slippy so i was pleased, especially after riding so shit during the day...... f**king cracked ribs i tell thee.... they hurt cheers for compliments, i dont think gordon has made that many videos, but im sure his editing will improve with time. byebye
  15. yer he has used hope before, bulb, big-un and an XC, they all skipped like f**k, hopes are good hubs for those who ride streetier bikes, such as boon, shrewsbury etc, where you dont rely on EP as much as us UCI bummers. Hope do offer good service, in fact they offer excellent service. but in my opinion they are not reliable, i last used a bulb about a year ago, and when going to do a gap i pretty much shredded the insides, the engagement is not as reliable IMO. And i went through a phase where YES i did have to send a hope off every month (my own). So dont try shut him down just because you have been lucky.
  16. downloading now will enjoy seeing it soon ben
  17. Rip like f**k, soak to much water/sweat and then start to move about which is not good.
  18. well we (me and towler) wrapped them quite tight and it doesnt seem to be as bump as roadie tape (which you get alot more of and dont wrap it as tight, also you shouldnt overlap the tape very much and it seems fine. there are some slight bumps but nothing noticable from what i have just done from riding. Also the point about un-wrapping is that I have taped electrical tape around the bar and grip about eight times so it doesnt look likely to come un-done. Finally its NOT foam - its a more leathery texture so it is yet to be tested in uber warm summery weather, but i have faith in the buggers . Like i say ill let you know. but i dont think illl be going back to anything else like
  19. Gav you aint going to get validated by bitching about something you should be discussing on msn, although it was pretty harsh what you and stu did yesterday........ Anyway, nah i doubt an 06 lever will come out, the 05 lever is perfect, its fine, it works, and just learn to fix them, the 04's also broke but people seem to forget that..... 05 levers for the win
  20. nah, we are talking thinner and nicer than that, also them grips go shit when you sweat (i dont ride with gloves) just my opinion, but these are much nicer, specially after trying those grips
  21. basically....... USE A SQUASH/TENNIS/BADMINTON GRIP. buy a grip from your local sports shop, cut in half, and wrap around the bar. (it has double sided sticky tape on the underside) then tape up the ends of the grip to reduce the chance of water seeping in and making them move. Now go RIDE. Seriously took me and Towler 5 mins to do two handlebars and go riding. From the minute you wrap it on its tough, and stays tough. I rode like normal, sidehops, gaps, and ups and it never moved once, its not a big fat horrid grip and it doesnt give me arm pump like fat man grips. They are seriously some awesome grip, also once you sweat it doesnt get slippy . I wont be buying another set of grips, these are that good . Longevity is to be seen but i will let you know in due course how they last. Ill also get pics tommorrow cheers Ben
  22. to whoever was riding the adamant! How big was that sidehop looked around 50, and was sweet although i run a low hi-fi stem on mine so i stand steeper with the bike you seem to run the high hi-fi stem, so if you could tell me how high it was would be cool?!!!! The rest of video ws good, some nice stuff in there, really enjoyed it
  23. haha, do a porter, then you did, HAHA silly boi
  24. The Martins have very weird sense of humour from what i have seen of them as well though........he is a good lad, very quiet but once you start speaking to him he breaks out lol. Nah sound lad, and would make a good role model
  25. for starters ignore the 2mm thing never ever set the brake up like that it will seriously be too little pull to be comfortable (unless you have massive hands). When my brake works properly, the lever pulls about half the amount between the normal setting and the handlebar this way it means you have more grip on your bars when your brake is on. thats what i would say anyway. that 2mm thing is stupid
