  1. my magura explodes, but lets go back and ill tell you a little story................ yesterday i receive a phone call from another rider (non-forum) saying, aye min me feckin freewheel has broke, so i ask him to come round and i fix it, while he waits he is riding another guys bike and breaks his magura hosing. f**k, day ruined for him, it didnt touch a thing just decided to pack in and break. then today another mate is riding along and hops up a kerb, kaboom onto his back on the kerb, day ruined his plastic magura hosing goes as well with no replacement we head home and thats that. tonight about half an hour ago, i am riding, thinking about snapping the hosing. after doing some decent drop gaps and some big ups, i pick up confidence to go for a front to back on a rail. now a front to back is the move where you hop into your front wheel then to your back, for an example see a craig lee scott video or a engage vid. and you will see how crazy this looks on a rail. im trying this move after getting pretty good at it, after a few failures i finally make it, and land nicely, few more fails and another good attempt, then i think hmmm, one more, so i go for it, make it to back wheel and on landing, my brake lever reaches the handlebar and i fall. what the f**k im thinking then i look, my braided hosing has snapped. now why the f**k does three go in the space of 24 hrs. its crazy. so to the point what hosing do you reccomend, i am thinking either back to standard hosing or looking at goodridge or hope. i have tried magura hosing, which is what has just snapped. whats your thoughts cheers guys ben p.s sorry for babbling

sorry to sound harsh but why are you bumping a topic with 45 posts, for a video, people who will have watched it will have, incidentally i have and thought it was an ok video, but nothing special. sorry if that was harsh, there was no need you have all the constructive criticisms you could need to progress your videos ben

  14. ah jt, u serached google much faster than i did, i was looking at this about 5-6months back at work, seems like a decent idea for u street riders who fancy two gears cheers ben
  15. this isn't aimed at topic starter, but at the guy who said he was feeling old at twenty!!!!! how is this possible, i'm sorry but i'm sure you have a long way to go, i'm twenty and i'm enjoying myself more than ever, i'm more mature and have much more fun now than i have ever done before, granted i cant ride my bike as much because of my uni work, but still get out quite often. ben
  16. your going to have to quote proces before hand, nobody will give work to someone who states prices after you have undertaken the project. its the way of the world ben
  17. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but you already have the brake, so surely you will already have the standard rotor! so just try it and see what happens, a 185 theoretically should work better, when i rode tarts disc with a 180 rotor it was good, but i felt that my 160 worked just fine just try it and see

    New Video.

JT! i agree, the video wasn't any good, the editing was over the top and excessive, i honestly thought it made the video worse. Unfortunately for the guy his riding wasn't amazing either, a shorter video with some of the changes would have been good. sorry, don't want to sound harsh ben
  19. ill shack it when im home in about an hour ben

yea i agree with ben, the sidehops to pedal are gay, at first i thought it doesnt look to be much of a video, but it improved and other than the quality it was decent, i enjoyed it and the music, which may have been a bit too rocky, but otherweise was a decent video keep improvin guys (Y) ben
  21. well i am finally getting around to getting some pics done, so here goes, what you think? click the thumbnails for better views so they aint the best moves in the world, thought they were worthwhile showing to you guys and seeing wht you all thought cheers ben
  22. hey man, as already said, i live up in aberdeen, riding is decent, depends on what kind of stuff you want to ride, courses im not sure on as i go to uni up here. also i havent heard of Insch, i live in stonehaven which is 15miles south of aberdeen i ride quite often but am working/uni working quite a lot, give me a shout and ill chat to you about it. also i havent been down there recently but edinburger and glasgow looks good for riding, and there are a few decent riders down there by the looks of things. cheers ben
  23. twas a bit harsh, your first comment being coust = shit frame, when it obviously isnt, they are stiff, good on the back wheel, and are long, maybe your problem is the aesthetics, which is a personal opinion, but your choice of sentance was veyr harsh, because the coust design is proven to work although i do agree when you say the stickers look gash, i hate the yellow ones. incedentaly (sp?) how much did you pay and is it first or second gen frame cheers ben
  24. well i have to say i rode some natural today weather wasnt great rocks next to see = v-wet and slippy, and my rim jams were shite. honestly they were bollocks, now i ride rim-jam blues on a grind and in the dry they work amazing so dont tell me my brake isnt set up. i know they hold, but todya they were crap. i voted null vote because i havent tried the plaz pads. just my bit of info ben
  25. hey man, some decent riding in there, you are improving loads i am impressed. most constructive criticisms have been made, although i think my biggest fault was the repetitive shots, other than that it was cool, catch you later ben
