  1. having used viz componenets at points in time over the past year and a half, i can truly say that the only viz part i have trusted is my forks, and i believe they will be snapping soon. they ahve lasted taps/hooks/abuse in general and the only viz component i haven't regretted purchasing. the rims were shit/are shit/ as my king is away in USA i have been using a friends king on a viz rim, and although i have been pushing myself i dont trust its sttrength at all. please stay away. sorry dan, but i dont believe they are trust worthy at all. meh ben
  2. ali, you have hit the nail on the head for me. thats exactly my thoughts. if somebody is so disgusted about it they will say, asking me to move on politely is what i want, i dont need people gettin upset and shouting to move on. i wouldnt say riding on a memorial is disrespectful.... it ISNT riding on the graves of the dead. this object is just a memory for certain people, to remember there parents/grandparents. i am FULLY AGAINST riding on a grave as that is specifically for one person whom will be actually below you. thats disgusting to even think about riding on that. but memorials are not a grave, its rememberance of happiness, which me riding on it is happiness for me. i know its not exactly the same, but this said i wont go out of my way to ride this memorial because its a memorial i ride it because i feel it will be an acheivement for me to make a gap/an up. meh. ben
  3. what you will find is actually you have a crap rim. koxx rims are shit for holding grinds and always will be. try a real rim such as an echo/ronnie you will notice a swift difference in the capabilities of a rim for holding a grind and how the stone cutting disc works superb on these rims. my opinion, not looking for an argument. ben

    Energy

Energy is the one thing i feel i am certainly lacking at the moment, although i usually find energy is co-existant with motivation. Usually i am motivated to ride, although when i arrive at a spot, i think i cant be arsed. So to change this i tried riding natural (new video on the way) and this has helped me suddenly get huge bursts of energy. Also i have tried eating better/sleeping more/drinking healthy drinks, and it all helps, but obviously there are limits, i have to be active i hate being sat with nothing to do, such as right now hence im writing this . The weather also deflates me, if its pissing down i hate riding, when its ace weather im out, i love good weather, however i try to get out in worse weather to help my riding, which motivates me to push myself, which helps my energy (as explained in previous paragraph). Also if you are constantly riding the exact same stuff all the time, and not generally improving you wont feel happy with your riding, trials in my opinion is about improvement, whether this be being able to try a more tech move, or improve your manifesto stylee, to being able to out gap yourself/sidehop yourself etc, back on course now, my point is that if you dont feel happy with your riding you wont be energetic enough to keep going. all sorts of stuff effects this energy topic, and most have been explained, scientifically i imagine there is shit loads to discuss but thats for all these sports degree peeps, you loughborough lot, get explaining.... ben
  5. thing is wayne, many people dont ride the british champs and wont make the effort to write to the committee to help make this change, basically because this doesnt effect them. I havent entered a comp, but this year i do hope i will, and therefore am interested in this outcome on whether 6 gears minimum is nessacary, however i also know that nobody checks on the lesser comps (ymsa/tyke). I will probably go send an email stressing that other than weight i feel having 6 gears or 1 gear makes no difference, it doesnt nessacarily mean either has more stress placed or more difficulty, both are in the same boat, most trials riders have a gear that suits them eg mine is 20:18, that they mainly do trials on. So i believe if a rider is complaining they were at a disadvantage because they had more gears it is just pure petty-ness. anyhow ill be happy to forward an email to biketrial to see what might help de-restrict this rule. ben
  6. well if this is the case, maybe its a question of a bad batch, towlers 05 magura lever on the rear is fantastic, i can definately feel the difference in power between my 03/04 lever and his 05 lever, i would imagine the possibility of a bad batch is the case, meh, my 2 cents ben
  7. only one that made me remotly laugh, good caption ben
  8. why on earth would you be bothered about running 6 gears just to sound smooth at a comp. thats not the point, im not sure what the point it, but it certainly aint that. cheeers ben

how about a chain whip and some uber strong hands, might work im sure thats how u would take it off. take it to LBS will be much easier
  12. mine are good so far, i have an extremely worn grind with tar, and they are doing fine, i cant complain about them at all, no wear that i have noticed although im not abot to go and measure them :- i would get some in to Aire Valley cycles if i were u wayne i reckon they would be a good seller edit, didn't notice u have an automatic word checker, very good, i had A V with no space and auto changed to 'have'
  13. that toxsin would be mine, i would go for toxsin, cheaper, and is fairly strong, mine is fairing well, and only a small dent due to big fall, cant really complain. its an awesome frame this is strong and reliable and fantastic to ride. cheers ben
  14. i dont think its a nessacary comment that. everyone has to learn at somepoint. come on give the guy a break, i have seen some of his posts, and they are reasonably sensible. just do what people have said matey ben
  15. hahahaha, nice one ad, gunna download now, looking fwd to it, big time :) :deej: maybe not big time actually. just looking fwd to it.
  16. if the echo rim is new why not just send it back and ask for a swap for a ronnie rim. i assume its a new rim. that would be a reet sensible idea. ben
  17. watson we should get our arses over there for some natty riding as i cant find sweet f**k all of natural anywhere near me, (thats decent) organise over msn />??? ben
  18. ah ok, well i mean light support, not extensive support, anyone who has the try-alls will know that they are very flexible around the ankle however they do offer better suppost than any other shoe i have used. think ill be checking out tk-maxx for something like this to ride with. meh, god i hate having no god damn money cheers ben
  19. so are you reccomending the ribo's then adam, would you say they are worth 80-90 squiders. im not sure they are. im certainly going to have to look at some new shoes in the near future. just thinking i would prefer something with ankle support (having weak ligaments in my ankles) cheers ben
  20. hahah, cheers ad, and for advice on msn. think ill just stick em on, like a man. cheers ben
  21. i personally would like to here from the man himself to find whether the pads are menat for a grind or a smooth rim, the konigs are sat on my desk in front of me, but not sure whether to try them or not. so steve/...... whats it to be ben
