0zzy - if you don't like the comparison between dh and trials (both extreme sports), why do you have to compare what matt does on his trials bike to BMX? that is narrow minded, EXTREMELY narrow minded - i suggest you read this - .http://mis-conceptions.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/get-bmx.html (see how I dropped that in there) The comparison of DH to Trials is actually quite useful. I agree with you to an extent that the obstacles are different, but the mentality of the top guys is very much the same. It is their livelihood, Gilles actually mentions this in his website statement, but you don't often see the downhillers pulling out because the conditions dont quite suit their interests. I work in the oil industry, so i know of how paramount safety is / has become in the workplace (this is their workplace we are talking about afterall) and its thrust down the throat of people on a daily basis, but Matt (i don't think anyway), isn't so much contesting the conditions but more questioning Gilles attitude to the whole situation. He might have complained prior to the race, but he also CHOSE to ride the sections instead of pulling out (thats what she said) completely prior to the competition to make his 'stand'. The conditions were equal to all, and from the results I believe EVERY section was ridden through by some person at somepoint during the competition (tactical dabs are a part of competition i am afraid). Unfortunately for you, i don't think you are coming across as well as you might want to, your stubborn responses are kind of immature, and you seem very unwilling to try and see any point that anyone else is making. Some times in the world you have to be able to compromise (even if that is to someone elses opinion).

Scandinavian flights are usually more expensive (comparative to the easy jets or similar), and as such they get better service (from my experience). Easy jet charged a few of us around £30-£40 each way for bikes to barcelona from edinburgh. I wouldnt say its robbery....just fill up your bike bag with all your camping gear / clothes for the weekend, then you wont have to pay an additional bag of luggage charge. OR as someone says, get it posted to barrow in a box, and i'd imagine it'll work out much cheaper overall

Vimeo Embedding Size

I can see how that would work, but its not exactly practical, also not how anyone who builds and designs websites would intend it to be used. Cheers for the input though. Its an interim measure I can use. I also found that if people did embed the video properly (not just paste the hyperlink) then the video comes up much bigger...so is it possible to make the 'pasting a link' method the same size as a 'proper embed' method see edited first post -
is it possible to make the visual size of an embedded vimeo video bigger? I am not sure if this is a forum thing or whether its something to do with vimeo, however i don't like having to full screen my videos when i am at work, but its the only option i have as the standard size is FAR too small to actually view properly. If we were able to double the size of the vimeo embed that'd be brilliant... \/\/\/\/\/\/ = far too small visually (pasting a link method)... \/\/\/\/\/\/ = much nicer size (embedding code method)... Vimeo Video -> Original Video

looking at the photo dave, i'd say the hairline looks odd on the right hand side. I would have thought it should be symmetrical (i know our faces arent ever symmetrical before anyone says), but thats what stood out to me.

Jack, Another suggestion that might be sweet. Whats the chance of a big projector with a DVD player / laptop attached so we can get some booze (for those 18+), some appletisers (for those 17 and under) and videos on the go one evening? 'RadFest Movie Night' - Hosted by Jack Meek :-p

BIG video release is friday apparently.... -
While i agree with you to an extent mike, there is a little something mentally (beyond the injury thing) in the top riders that sets them out from the bog standard like you or I

Jack, Sounds a little nit-picky, but might be nice to have a wee section on how to get there. I.e. nearest airport / train station / local towns and amenities etc i am unsure on how I am getting there yet, so as a 'just in case' scenario might be good to have that info. ta ben
