  1. Yep the rim brake seems to be true, the guys I know went yesterday and saw the prototype. Its Sam Clark from the bike shop Dave! He told me the other day he knows you haha.
  2. It can't be that good, it threw Dave straight off it!
  3. I know some guys that are going for tour round soon, I'll get them to ask about it
  4. Dibs on the Limey frame Jakey boy. If you need anything I've got a huge amount of stuff as you well know

Okay cheers dude. Yeah I'm not doubting Dave's wheel building abilities, think the rim was to blame haha.

Ahh right, well with a brand new rim we should be able to get it a fair bit stronger!

Thats what I've been saying. Trialtech aren't weak by any means, I think he should get another but get a built as strong as possible.

Anyone recommend a single wall rim stronger than a Sport Lite?

Ahh damn okay, not sure if you can view this video but this is how: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=757273300951810&set=vb.100000074416276&type=2&theater Fair heavy landing but shouldn't of bent it as much as it did!
  10. In need of some advice on 26" rims. My mate needs a new one after he pringled his Trialtech Square Holed one yesterday. Looking to spend £40-£50 on a new one so most rims are being considered. I was thinking of the Sport Lite, he's against Trialtech now but I've heard good things about the Sport Lite and its at a decent price. Can anyone tell me the difference between the older Square Holed rim and the Sport Lite, I assume its stronger but I'd just like to check.
  11. Best not be too knackered for tomorrow!
  12. I replaced mine today and they took some welly to get them in fully, need to modify the shell because the axle still has a tiny bit of play in it even when the bearings are fully seated.
  13. Surely wood would just deform too much?
  14. Haha oops, edited.
  15. I'm about 190cm (6' 3") and I used to ride a mod up until the end of last year.
  16. Told you they're epic!
  17. Put one in without the axle in, drop the axle in and then stack old bearings up to fit the other side
  18. Ahh good shout! Just use old bearings and stack them up! Why do you need 2 sockets Dan?
  19. Oh hang on, it'll be fine for getting one bearing in but it doesn't fit over the axle to fit the other one. Have to use something with the same diameter all the way through.
  20. I've just borrowed a socket set off my mate and the biggest is a 27mm, it will just about do it but I reckon a 28mm will be perfect.
  21. That was hilarious, "was she fit?" "No" hahahaha.
