  1. Bent front chainring or incorrect BB all putting stress on the chain.
  2. If its that much of a slut....get some soap on it. Itll help it slide off once its started.
  3. You said it fella! Im 26, and was paying £300 on a K reg Fiesta, valued at £150, 3rd party only, parked off the street with 7 years no claims.
  4. Your tettanus (sp) up to date? Sounds like whatever it was has gone now though
  5. Thats a serious quote? Jeez! £1900...thats shocking! Maybe its just an age thing then! I had the hump at having to pay £600 on my mk1 turbo'd golf! Pass plus will take a bit off....but dont forget, not all companies accept it. Good luck to you! If you can get insurance etc sorted, then go for it!
  6. Sorry to piss on your biscuits.... But you really think youl be able to get insured on something like a VTR, or a 1.6 Civic as a first car? Your mums insurance company will laugh at her, and tell her where to stick it! They KNOW what goes on.... 99% of peoples crashes occour within the 1st year of driving....do the 'normal' thing and buy something cheap and slow for a year, insure it on your own policy and youl get some no-claims...which mean alot!! You can still get good cheapo cars....I bought a 1.4 K reg fiesta 6 months ago with central locking, leccy windows, TnT and was mint inside and out (no dents or rust) for £250. It went straight through its next MOT, was faster than these new 1.25 Zetecs, and still did 120 easily. And if you stuff it? So what? Imagine banging a 3k car after a few months of driving! And it'd fit bikes in the back too Whats that insurance company that search all the others for you?? Elephant.co.uk or summin? Try them! I got my insurance £300 cheaper through them!
  7. No topic...but here's a big version of it! RIP DMR
  8. I can tell most of you guys are young by the 'lie' replies! Tell her the truth....it ALWAYS comes out anyway. If you lie and say you got mugged....she'll make you go to the cop-shop and report it....
  9. I find out more on Thursday. Aparantly its too swollen to give a accurate diagnosis! Ive broken all sorts of bones before....but this is by far the worst. It takes me 1/2 hour to get out of bed...I cant get into the bath on my own....or even get a bloody sock on Luckily Im at my parents over Xmas...and they live in a bungalow! So no stairs!
  10. Ive never had any probs with my hydro's on my bikes.....BUT coming from a car mechanics background....sounds like you got a split hose somewhere!
  11. DOH...sorry! lol. Trying to 360 It wasnt an impact injury...I bailed...went spining off...landed on my foot, and I guess my knee twisted and it went 'POP'.
  12. Tresspassing isnt a criminal offence. So you CANNOT be prosecuted. Its a civil offence. BUT IIRC in Scotland there's a 'right to roam' act instead (correct me if Im wrong). I ride round my local school all the time...infact its got the best trialsy stuff around!! Ive been turfed out before...by staff, cleaners and the police...but so long as your not damaging anything, or creating a nusance...there is diddly squat that can be done. ESPCIALLY if you can just wander in. But realisticly...what kind of bell is gonna prosecute for injuring themselves doing what they love? Keep riding it!
  13. Ive dislocated my knee, popped some cartilige, bruised a load of ligaments ontop of a fractured wrist! I think im gonna take up a less risky sport! Anyone know of any good knitting forums?
  14. Cant advise you from a trials front...BUT... ...I run 24's on my DJ bike. It accelerates quicker...is slightly more responsive, and the wheels certainly are stronger! Hope that helps!
  15. The forks were a month short of 10 years too Bah...ah well! Id never get another frame but DMR now....its had, err, a 'busy' life!! Me too My mate was just about to get the cam out! It certainly wasn't the smallest of doubles!
  16. Sorry its not a trialsy type question...but I cant find any info! I blasted my DMR frame to bits on Weds.... Anyone know if they have any kinda warranty? Despite it being nearly 10 years old.
  17. I used to run one years ago....it improves the feel a tad...but more importantly...its alot less maintainance! NO more lubing the noodle all the time!
  18. Im sure I heard of this a few years ago...but manufacurers strayed away from it due to air pockets in the surrounding welds going POP.... Or was that something else?!?!
  19. For me, that be the decider for going! Id not drive for hours, to get set up, then have to pack up again, to drive to town, then back in the morning... Ive traveled around alot dirt jumping...and ask any of the regulars....chilling out round a bbq, in the middle of the set ,having a beer makes the weekend!
  20. Just get a BFO bar on the end.... Itll either come out not!
  21. Hmm. Its always worked for me! OK...download Ccleaner....try that. Thats free too.
  22. AdAware is the best free one going! It shifted stuff else could!
  23. Easy outs are ok, BUT if you end up snapping it (which is quite common) your f**ked. They are super hardened steel, and you'll melt 5673566636 drill bits before you get through it. The other option is to get the next size up in a torx bit and smash it in with a hammer.
  24. I wear whatever clothes are at the top! Makes no odds to me. When Im dirt jumping though, I dress as casual as I can! Jeans and a T...its kinda habit, and Im known for it!
  25. Now Im very open minded when it comes to music....I love all sorts....but what the f**k is this!!! Speedcore is the new thing apparantly! I shit you not...its called music!
