  3. We have a neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew member. Everybody say hello to Mike, and if anyone has any rear discs, wheels, cranks, and other assorted pieces of win, give generously, even if it's just on loan for the week
  4. Those bars have no place on that bike, dude!!! Other than that, gorgeous
  5. I'd have happily stayed out, just Rick John and Steve were going to see Forever Never, and The Down went home
  6. No bottle is the man... Who's about next week, then?
  7. Plug it into your computer to get a bit o' charge in it, takes a little while, then put it on the mains charger. My old video used to do that, just needs a bit or leccy in to get it started i guess.
  8. Swear by my Xen, looks awesome, reeeeally comfy, been using it for about 3 years? The head strap things are held on with cable ties, but still...
  9. Weather's fine apart from a bit o' wind - everyone still in i take it? In other news, i just realised i'm over 3000 posts - i need to get out more
  10. Hey dude, welcome Looks a pretty sweet starter bike to me, nice and streety!!! Gears aren't necessarily a no-no, i'm quite tempted to get some on my Leeson... As for bashes, have a browse on google, bolt-ons have become fairly obsolete in recent years so it might prove hard to find. Anyway, good luck and enjoy
  11. Mate, in the wet i'm completely brakeless
  12. I has one now, with un-broken forks and everything. And stop worrying about the weather, i'm running smooth rims and vees, you pussies.
  13. I think it's a pretty cool idea (I'd LOVE sus forks on my 609) But they're heavy and will make the bb ridiculously high (it's +40 as standard i think) unless you ran them with a majorly short/ barely noticeable travel. Just take the time to get used to rigids, then experiment if you really can't live with it
  14. yep, get a little nut (preferably big enough to fit a spanner on but not so big it causes problems) and it'll be fine. Or give Clive a ring and get some new ones brazed on if you're that fussed about it

  17. "Go fast, lean back, throw your hips at the bars then launch your legs upwards and outwards." EDIT: Forgot the key to it
  18. I'll probably be suitably late, need to sort a few things... Anyone got a vee brake noodle going spare?
