GR8 turbo Jake. I raced an S2 Lotus Elan today. Got beaten. Want an Elan now. So unbelievably cool - no idea what it was running but it had a 3" pipe straight out the back centred, was an absolute rocket. Great to watch him carry on down the M25 and bully all the BMWs and Audis into the middle lane.

got this out today: that made me happy enough, but I did some research to see if I could find anything out about the guy who rode it in the tour back in '95. Ended up finding an interview with an Australian cycling mag with a guy called Sebastien Piquet - apparently my guy Pascal drives him on the tours these days when they're commentating. Messaged them asking if I could possibly get hold of Sebastien to ask about Pascal and...: 'Matt, I know Pascal. I'll see him on Thursday and shall tell him about your bike. Agreed. Renewal for the Capri was about £700 from Flux - no thank you. Called Admiral, £360 quid. Called Flux back as I like them; 'well Mr Purdon I can get that down to £550 for you, would you like to go ahead? Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... Similarly when I decided to let the Land Rover's lapse I got a renewal price of £900. Said I wanted to leave it, then got another in the post for £400. They are twats.

Take the shock absorbers off. God those stickers irritate me. Comrade = French/Russian. VAG = German. WHAT. It is looking damn fine though, would love to properly cut and polish the capper some time. Big ups on the fuel saving too - I manage an extra 10mpg by keeping it to 55/60. We're so boring.
