Interesting proposition Mr Porter, but then where do you suggest I put the seatpost? EDIT: Blacks are a no-no. My last zoo pads weren't bad sans tar, but still squealed a bit - and from what i've used, the new ones are utter tripe.

Not offending me personally, but remember that rules exist, Benjamin What's tragic about three chavs going over a cliff in a Fiesta? A Fiesta can seat five.

Cheers for those guys! Will phone Tarty tomorrow and see when they'll have them back in stock
  6. dedent rear brake (such as a maggie, with good pads) and a nice bar and stem Will make so much difference to it!
  7. Alan speaks the truth! I hated tgs-y riding, just got bored of trying to do x" taps and y" sidehops, partly because i was crap and partly because it just bored me. I had a go on a 24", and just saw the light - bought my self a street rig and have enjoyed it ever since (even if it did weigh 3 tonnes) Just ride for fun, as and when you feel like it. Watch some good videos on t'internets, and don't force yourself to ride. There'll be days when i really wanna go and ride (usually in the summer) and days when i can think of a hundred other things to be doing. Just take it as it comes. Matt
  8. Man up and do it. Better to regret what you did than what you didn't!

Yeah, i've thought of a vee, but can't really afford to put one on at the moment, could be something for the future! I've thought about plaz's too, unsure on what spanish flys would be like on the back, and i've read/ heard a fair few people bitchin' about the 'new' crms. Time to have another search...
  10. As in, driving? I would, green-laning in the early hours is always fun

Evening all. I've had a hunt through the forum, but couldn't find anything that really helped. I'm reluctantly going back to a rear maggie on my new toy, and just need some advice on what pads to go for. Basically, i can't stand loud brakes on streety rigs, so i'm after a brake setup that's still pretty good, but as quiet as possible (obviously i don't mind a bit of squeak). Will be mated to a rhyno lite, and i don't want to grind it unless i really have to, not too bothered about wet-weather performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated Matt
  13. Try this one. Beat me to it...
  14. Put some antifreeze in 'em
  15. That'd be pretty sweet. Really like Ben's idea, it's just nice n discreet, but Tapett's design's awesome too.
  16. LIES Mine are(were) awesome in the wet. I love dd to pieces, just makes everything seem so much smoother. Great on mod, not so much on stock. Gotta go back to a rim brake now
  17. You sure about that one? FFWs seem to give a more responsive feel imo, but i love my king to pieces - feels alt more 'solid' than any FFW i've used.. All down to personal preference, and how much money you've got.

  21. They're around the price of a fully "pimped" magura (upgraded clamps, lever, tpa, pads etc etc), if you think of it that way, and fully cnc'd! The slaves are a lower profile too, so you get more clearance. Mine gave me no problems, but some of the older ones leaked a bit, and became sieves if they were bled with water. The new ones are far better apparently! And if it does leak (and you haven't put water in it) then they're covered by a full warranty, so you can easily get your money back
