  1. You'd definately need to change the frame to something a bit more...steel, Adam
  2. Yeah, forgot the scratching post! That's a pretty important one if you value all vertical surfaces in your house.
  3. My cat's been fine to me, mum hated them before, but she gets on with it ok! They don't take much to look after, just feed them twice a day and take them to the vets as and when they need it and you'll be fine They seem to be naturally house trained so to speak, mine knew what the litter tray was for as soon as it saw it. (that's one of the downsides of having a cat, the ugly tray they crap in overnight) Just keep an eye on them in the early days though! You'll need food, a bowl for said food, somewhere for them to sleep/ a bed, toys, a litter tray + litter incase they need to have a dump overnight, and possibly a box to put it in when you take it to the vets. Not alot required really, just look after it!
  4. Ah, damn you all! Sounds like it'll be a nice little gathering, shame my steed still isn't ready
  5. Yep, what forteh said Most people start out on 20" bikes, but they're not solely for kids! Everyone knows 24" is where it's at though Nice first post by the way, made me giggle! I see you've been validated already, have fun in the rest of the forum! Matt
  6. I hope you mean am! Winter night rides are just irresponsible

    Music

It's just like blasting some "choons" out from a phone, only of slightly better quality. I think most people would get rather pissed off after a while, especially if they wanted to murder the type of music that was playing...
  8. Mine lasted me 9 months, and is still going on my mate's bike 4 months after i sold it to him
  9. And please, make a video diary.
  10. Hey, it's good to have some old schoolers getting back into it! I'd recommend a trials specific frame, but coming from the good old days you might be better suited to something with a more streety geo? Maybe even a 24"? Trials bikes have come so far since the old gt's, it's insane!! You've certainly got plnty of options now! I've got a frame hanging on my wall at the moment that may be right up your street if you'd fancy a fun streety trials rig? Add me on msn/ send me an e-mail at skozeone@hotmail.co.uk if you like Hope you enjoy the new trials scene!
  11. My current bike is sat next to me, two tyres, a pair of fattys a stem and some bars. So yeah, i've been in hibernation for 4/5 months Will be out in force from january though
  12. Got msn? Add me on skozeone@hotmail.co.uk The only good trials shops these days are tarty and select (well, those that deal in deng stuff anyway) or there's T-UK but that's a bit of a gamble ordering from them at the mo.
  13. Front and Rear 200mm Hope mono trials Well, i used to. Going to be using an avid ultimate with inspired vee pads and a smooth rhyno lite on the new beastie, and probably putting on a smaller front rotor.
  14. Read the rules dude, making threads like this only makes the process slower
  15. They'll be fine. Make sure you've got a decent build, though.
  16. £200? The 08's had/have maggies, tensile freewheels etc etc iirc, so they're worth a bit more than £50
  17. Yeah, 203's will be fine (in fact, i wouldn't run any less on the rear of a stock) I'm not too sure on Juicy 7s, never had any experience of them on a trials bike, good brake though! They may be a bit more like the Mono Trial than the BB7 (because they're hydraulic, obviously) a bit of modulation on the rear isn't a problem, but you can easily set the brake up for on/off braking if you really want to (or just pull the lever a bit harder/faster like i do ) I just find that hydro can feather a hydro brake, whereas big cable discs are far hearder to do that with.
  18. They do work well on the rear, just i personally don't like the on/off braking, a bit of modulation is always nice!
  19. I ran a 200mm hope on the rear of mine, was absolutely awesome! It slipped occasionally, but only when i seriously missed something. BB7s are great on the front, not so much on the back - for me you get no response from them, and it just feels a bit dead. For the price of a new BB7, you could get a second hand Mono Trial easily!
