Yo bitches! Me and the bigatron are heading to P-town tomorrow. Does anyone have a bleed kit they might consider bringing with them? Bigmans brake doesn't feel half as awesome as mine, and I think he's a little jealous..... If anyone can help us out, we will of course be highly appreciative. Much loves prawn and bigman

Court case won yes, a year ago i think it was, but still not a penny recieved, puts us in a fairly difficult position really. As far as I know the tupmans are still trying to do bits and bobs inbetween jobs, but they're so busy these days things are slow. I often think about how things would be now if Oli were still with us. Oli was so fun to be around, and he had so many cool ideas. We miss you dude x

Thanks Dudes, feels good to be riding again for sure Strangely, Gaps and sidehops arn't too bad, admittedly, much shorter / lower than before, but the technique is still there, but taps just seem to have died, so I was pretty chuffed to make the above. managed it about 6 times, and did one slightly larger, but couldn't get a pic. Snap? snap as in you have a koxx? or snap as in it's going to break? It won't be breaking any time soon, it's been over 7 years since I cracked a frame! What's even more shocking is, there's proof that I've ridden it too!

So! to all those who care in the slightest, and all those who don't care but have read the rest of the internet and eventually ended up here, I thought it was about time I posted a picture of my current steed. In the past 2 years I've hardly ridden at all, probably less than 10 rides in total if I'm honest. I got hugely fat, and ended up at almost 20 Stone, and basically stopped riding totally for a very long time. This year I've sorted things out a bit, lost a load of weight (3 1/2 st at one point, although slacking a tad now) and started bouncing a bit more often. As a bit of motivation, I took a pic of a wall I managed to tap yesterday, and decided to use it as a reason to post a pic of the steed: Try not to judge me too much, I know it's a pathetic tap by current standards, and the bike is old school, but it simply works, and I love it. So great to be out riding again

damn you bunch of homos, had this been Sunday I might have shown my face for a rare change! As it is, I'm at a trackday tomorrow, so shall find somewhere to bounce alone on Sunday!

Top day out! Was great to be back out on the bike after so long, and all the more awesome for seeing so many people, some of whom I’ve not seen for several years! Thanks people

woop woop! first time it's been road legal in about 20 months, after bending a valve earlier this week, the Mini finally runs again!

Drive home from a quick blast, engine still being run in (1000 miles at that point) 1/2 throttle max, and not exceeding 6000rpm of 8k limit.
-
Hitting 8000rpm in 3rd at 100mph, changing to 4th as it passes the camera.

You're all gay, and I STILL maintain that bikes are most definitely for kids. However, this aside, I shall see you all in the morning. Right now, I'm going to get pissed. Night

I've been trying to call Terry all day to let him know I'm comming, but I havn't got an answer. If anyone speaks to him this evening, could you let him know I'll be there. No need to worry about food, I'm fat enough already -
I'm comming This will be funny, not ridden the bike since the one hampshire comp I did in May!

that looks pretty good, but you still need to sync the phone with itunes before you can select it as a ringtone!

Correct If we had the money, or the engine he originally wanted, the car would have been finished some years ago. Still, welcome back matey! Pretty huge Dub and Mini following on the forum as you've probably already found out!

i found the IP board app just tells me that I've entered a bad URL, despite me making sure it's correct. Also, it seems a few existing apps are a bit glitchy on IOS4. the facebook app seems really poor, although it works fine through safari

to go back to your first post, you mention about locking the wheels up easily..... at perhaps up to 40-50mph, I'd imagine any car would be able to lock up the front wheels if you REALLY wanted to..... Big brakes only really come into their own when you're looking at repeated HARD stops over and over again, and form high speeds. The standard brakes in my A3 will stop me very quickly, from anything up to about 70-80mph, ONCE, and ONCE only. More than 1 hard stop from above 70 and they'll fade, and I'm left with no brakes. Similarly, one hard stop from 130, and as you're comming down the speed, as you go below 40 you basically loose all brakes as they just overheat. Also (and this isn't meant to be rude AT ALL) have you ever driven a REALLY fast car? It's amazing how you can have brakes that feel incredible at 30-80mph, yet you apply them at 140 and feck all happens. I'd imagine your micra will be able to stop itself fairly well form any speed it can manange, although I bet it'd still fade after 2-3 hard stops from 80 My old A3 312mm brakes with upgraded discs and pads were like that, below 80 it'd stop VERY well, but above 100-120 no matter how hard you pressed the pedal it wouldn't kill speed all that fast. Better than most, but nowhere near quick enough. As a result, out at the ring, I was finding myself braking from 130mph VERY early into the tighter corners, because I just didn't know if I would be able to stop in time. the whole lap was based around keeping the brakes alive for a full lap, so many people go out and cook their brakes in the first 5k, then have the cruise the last 15k brakeless! Bigger brakes only REALLY come into play when you're looking at repeated hard stops, and serious speeds. Should have some 330mm Porsche 911 C4 front brembo's on mine soon
