why the change of name ben? ive still got that phone number in my phone as NSE!!!! or was NSE a megamo thing? from back in the day?
  2. well im prefectly happy with my ronnie for now..... the new echo 07 rims are WAY heavyier than a 521, which is still obviously the best rim ever. when i get the chance ill be drilling my ronnie out further. back on the BT proto frame, i had a ronie drilled out with 1'' holes, which weighed around 650g, yet lasted me a whopping 9 months of large drops and dropgaps! when i get round to it ill be drilling out my current ronnie/reggie rims more to shed some weight! 521's cant handle the big tyres anymore though, and now trials has progressed and people are doing so many HUGE moves, the bigger tyres are needed.
  3. im afraid im using an onza ronnie these days..... ive tried the whole super wide koxx rim deal, and its not for me. i still swear by the D521, and still reckon its the strongest rim there is! its just not practical these days for most frames. although i have no intention of going wider thanmy ronnie:D 521 ***!!!!!
  4. why have the geo figures been edited out of the first post?
  5. hes pretty good, although hes clearly on speed
  6. nope, its definately not there, and i want it! did you forget to add a description>?
  7. i loved the ashton too guys, but i was riding the two ashton frames i had from march through to 2days ago (7 months total) and i never figured out how to tap it properly..... i was making a reasonable height consistantly, but i could NEVER progress higher than that, the one time i did was total fluke..... it just didnt seem togel with ti as far as tapping goes.... everything else was amazing on it, but it got to the point that going on rides was depressing because i was being out tapped by people like kennard! the zenith does seem to be perfect from initial impressions.
  8. i was thinking of finding some white backed graphics, as they should match in with the frame colour...... not sure what just yet.... may look into some PRAWN graphics! like the old BT proto.
  9. using a booster currently, becuase like you will, i dont have any short bolts, and yours looks wrong with booster length bolts and spacers but no booster although, with a huge CNC brake mount, AND a heatsink UBERbooster its a little stiff......
  10. yup, after a short little ride today, this beats the ashton in every way, i can even manual it better, as i can control the front better, being a little longer! i really didnt expect is to be anywhere near as good as it is, for such a stupidly cheap price!¬ i heard the colour was rancid, and to be honest, the graphics are HORRIBLE. but once ive stickered them over, its going to look awesome, and i really like the met black. the ride really does feel spot on, within a few minutes it felt like my own bike, and once ive taken it for a ride in town ill post up a vid the uci thing got stale years ago for me..... im just too big, and too used to the uci scene for the street style of the ashton. this feels like the PERFECT blend of both. short enough to still mess around and be smooth and stylish, but long enough for the kind of trials moves i enjoy! im loving it so far! shame i bent my hope rotor riding on a rail edit- yes the ashton is for sale, its in basicly MINT condition, although the left chainstay has no paint i scrathched it onh a few sidehops a while back, and sanded the paint offf the bottom edge with a veiw to respraying it to look nice again, although its actually hardly got a proper mark on it.
  11. ok, so as the title says...... i was LOVING the ashton so much, my riding was better than it had been for ages in most respects, but i COULDNT tap it at all. the highest i made on the ashton ever was 47'', but it was total fluke, and generally 42'' felt like a good height on it which is not funny. my mind was made up on the plymouth ride a month ago, when i was out tapped by ash kennard (surely thats enough to make anyone want to quit?) so the decision was made. a zenith was purchased. not the typical barge most people are riding these days, but still, a good bit longer than the ashton. [attachmentid=7253] [attachmentid=7254] she measures up at a fraction under 1080 with Urban forks, with a BB rise i cant quite decide its +27mm compared to the rear axle, and + 31 compared to the front wheel, so i guess that averages out at +29, and it does feel about spot on! reach is 675mm, which is technically the same length as the ashton, because if you move the measurement up on the ashton frame to the BB height of the zenith, it becomes 675.., so the horizontal reach is the same. it rides REALLY nicely, sidehops and gaps feel much easier. ive yet to do too many taps, as i cant find any around my house, but ive done one around 42-43'' and it does feel a whole load nicer. all in all, im happy! and at £200 with a fre king headset, its a BARGIN. i did expect it to be a little cheapy made, but the welding looks as good as any frame ive had, and its got all the CNC work of the Koxx XTP. and its made from the same 7005 as the ashton, so no worries there. im chuffed to bits!
  12. all the deng frames with built in boosters seem awesome.... i know my hifi certainly didnt need a booster at all, nor does a control.

perhaps try angling your levers down a bit more.... loads of people seem to run their levers very high up, which causes me terrible wrist pain when going for big wheelswaps, as you have to twist your wrists right back! i run my levers VERY low down, so i can stil be comfortable on the biggest of wheelswaps. makes a massive difference!
  14. yes gaz you can i booked my test the week after xmas, and my date was mid march near the end of jan i decided i couldnt wait any longer, so on monday 24th i called up and asked if there were any cancelations, i was offered one the next day, and one on thursday 27th. took the test on the thursday, and picked up the mini on the friday

  18. what the fu<ks that supposed to mean? it looks 10x better than any of the saracen offerings..... thats a £500 bike you tool, its got maxxis tyres, hs33's, its clearly got a dx32 rear and nice thin lightweight front rim, probably a decent bar n stem as mad always seem to offer, whats wrong with it? the frame design looks no worse than many bikes around today, and the geo is apparently pretty good! Andy was telling me about it, and hes really excited about getting his! dont be a fool. edit: i like it
