  1. am i right in thinking rowly is the only tf member who was a senior member, and requested to be made back to a normal member?
  2. direct line joe! you were confusin them withnorwich union and yes they do offer ncb to named drivers now!
  3. its a bit harsh shaun, but you lost a bike a year ago because of leaving it outside your house, and now another one? really mate, you wont do it again.... you cant risk leaving a bike out side for ANY length of time! hope you get it sorted with insurance or something....
  4. ive had an echo one now sinse they first came out, and i love it. it looks really trick, and is very stiff. its a little longer than standard i believe, which gives a touch more leverage. its generally very comfy, although i will say its quite flat, and your finger takes a little while to get used to it, but after a week or so all's good again! i wouldnt use a std 05 lever after using this, they just feel nasty.
  5. well said, its just odd.....
  6. you shut your pie hole boy! im just a few mm short of 6'2''!
  7. a mere 6'2'' im afraid charlie.....
  8. i think its a scientific fact that the left is ment to hang lower naturally, if you look at old roman or greek statues and things, the left is always lower, because its how we're ment to be.... only fractionally i think, but the left should always hang lower.
  9. right, its over now.... anyone got anything to say?
  10. what te fook! watch channel 4 RIGHT NOW, some freaky show called obscene machines, theres a bloke from southampton graphically showing how he shags his sodding life sized doll!!!! you have to see this to believe it ill delete this later on, but right now, WATCH IT! its too fooking strange not to
  11. theres a good reason for that though mate....... itll work better and last longer for a given spec. dont let mileage an issue either, far too many people are too hooked on low mileage, and saying high mileage cars are a massive no no..... its just not true, modern cars are so good, that its really not an issue anymore....
  12. mk4 polos go for that kinda price as pete said.... astras, escorts, older e36 beamers, i really cant think of many examples, but surely, upgrade a bit at least, dont just go for another mega cheap shopping trolley.
  13. I know you dont want anything too boy racerish, but surely you could do better than that? those 3 in the list are no step up from a 106.....
  14. if you can build a bike, you can build a car..... fix it yourself joe get the new parts on ebay, fit them all up yourself, make sure it goes together, then just whip off the bonnet and bumper again and have them sprayed. saving yourself a fortune. paint wise theres only about £50's worth of materials needed there, so find someone willing to do you a favour!
  15. you sure about that rich? as al has comfirmed his was a mega hefty 6lb! and that was no different to any other leeson frame apart from a few mm longer.....
  16. what happens is, because the tap has a plastic thread, if its not adjusted for along while, hard pulling of the lever pushs the metal rod into the threads and deforms them, and then you cant adjust it either way. as a result, you cant undo the TPA to remove the metal rod allowing the red adjuster to come out. it happened to a friend of mine, and the red adjuster was completely ruined. the only way we could get it out was to jam the red adjuster with an allen key, and then undo the metal rod using an adjustable spanner. this of course flexes the lever blade open slightly and ruins the threads on the metal rod. although this isnt really a problem, as the threads that are damaged arnt too important, and only a fraction of adjustment is lost. ive found the 74kingz tpa's seem to be VERY tight in the lever blades, and the one i came across wouldnt fit inside a deng lever blade AT ALL. so i think that needs to be addressed. my edd potts tpa works perfectly, and is very easily adjustable, unlike the MEGA stiff 74kingz ones ive seen.
  17. mod bikes are for kids end of.
  18. i mean owning one i was on rich pearsons on sunday! for streety fun and non trialsy moves they are nice, but for serious trial stuff i just dont like them AT ALL. the D15C isnt so bad, but thats not exactly a mass produced frame at all..... however- i did forget about the 24'' leesons, now they ARE gorgeous...... and mike, i seem to remember Anals old leeson back in the day was seriously heavy
  19. correct me of im wrong, but leesons are NOT light at all, i seem to remember them being fairly heavy! granted they do appear to be fairly strong, but you wont catch me on one any time soon. they have VERY old school geomerty, the std frames have a wheelbase under 1000mm, low BB, not overly short stays, yet tyre clearence is still AWFUL. personally, i dont think tehy ride well AT ALL, they feel heavy and arkward to ride, like your stuck on some mid 90's small MTB frame. sure, from an engineering point of veiw theyre lovely, with some neat ideas. but if you actually want to ride some trials on it, i personally wouldnt bother. unless your VERY street.
  20. its the first new style ashton ive seen/heard of thats cracked thats for sure..... nice one i think....
  21. yea. tell wheelies where to go! they f**ked me around a treat when my ashton got nicked. i gave them a spec, and they came up with all sorts of shit to aviod getting trials specific parts, apparently ashton had done his back in again and wasnt making any more frames ever again. they soon shut up when i told them i had been speaking to him in plymouth just days earlier.... they came up with an obscene price for my replacement bike, of around £2400, when i had told them it was worth £1900. and tehy were still offering me shite! one call to my insurance company with a quote from tarty bikes for £1800 compared to wheelies £2400 and a cheque was on its way to adam and dave the next day..... dont f**k around thinking you have to take what your given. your entitled to an exact replacement of what was stolen, and if its remotely specialised, wheelies will mess you around no end.
  22. if someone WANTS to die, if their quality of life has genuinely become that poor, and they are still mentally stable enough to make that decision, then i see no problem in it at all. its sad, but its fair.
