What is everyone buying for their loved ones this Christmas?
bikeperson45 replied to N.Wood's topic in Chit Chat
This thread is putting me to shame. Starting to think my £5 limit is a little less than average here. -
Can't believe no ones mentioned how much easier stalking is these days. For some of us that is a huge benefit.

Fair enough, sounds like you got a good situation going for you. And I get the Christmas card thing, I keep souvenirs of people And when I say 'souvenirs' that wasn't supposed to sound like a serial killer's trophy from a victim kind of thing. -
Me and my friends have a group so that's pretty much the only place I ever post or like anything. And when I'm on it I just see if there's a notification and I'm off pretty instantly if there isn't. Think I do pretty good at not being addicted or anything. And my phone's pay as you go which is a big reason

Standards of name dropping have really lowered these days.

That's more than I've ever gotten from my parents, won't it be kind of awkward when she can't get something that's nearly equal to that? That sounds like a no no to me -
Got to be the most efficient thread right here

If it goes for less than 2500 is he allowed to just cancel like that? Shouldn't it be buy it now?

Prophecy fulfilled, kind of. -
You too?! I had a car of people drive past too when I was clutching my leg and waving at them. Got to hate people.

I've thought about other disciplines but it was always the technical stuff I like for the most part. The other problem is now is I have this massive fear about it. When I tore my knee ligament I was by myself and when I went to call someone there was no signal and I had to crawl for 45 minutes til I could make a call. Probably going to play it really safe for a year or so with things like squash and 5 a side to get up to a decent standard again.

I do like riding generally but it's not something I can get as pumped about (couldn't think of a word other than pumped, I don't like that word). I've had a tonne of trials dreams but never dreams of just riding down a road or anything. That's annoying about the planes, seems weird that we can fly to the moon but have height restrictions for stuff like that.
-
It's to do with me having over flexible joints, so the risk of me dislocating is pretty big, and each time it happens the probability increases and recovery takes longer. I started trials when I was 14, I'm 19 now and I think around 2 and a half years of that I was dealing with recovery from things and not actually getting to ride. That was shoulders though and now I'm recovering from a ligament reconstruction in my knee, it's fairly common in terms of sport but I'm more at risk because of flexibility apparently, despite not being hyper mobile. I just need some kind of outlet/ hobby thing now but I'm too hung up with trials, and I'd consider myself to be a physical person which doesn't help. That sucks about the RAF, they just don't cater for your height at all?

Had a hospital appointment go well. The stuff I'd been worried about was nothing, would have been nice to have been told that a few weeks ago when I asked instead of stressing about it but at least it's okay. The whole 'most likely never going to get to do trials' thing's something I'm starting to accept a little more. Saying that though I keep dreaming of riding and waking up and knowing I probably won't get to do that in reality sucks but I'm kind of more optimistic about other stuff so that's kind of happy worthy.

Not enough purple, I'm afraid.

I loved this video, possibly my favorite. As much as his situation sucks, he's lucky he got to potentially finish with such an amazing video.

It's probably going to be another Robert Dyas year for my family. Waiting to see the various item and a dildo joke show up here though -
Going through my old mp3 player and found this nostalgic little Christian Bale gem

Regardless of what frame you're riding, I recommend you make a video. -
I think it's fine to just reference it from the book you're getting it from. I would bet £5 on that but no more.

So stressed out right now. After my knee operation a week later I noticed a small lump under one of the incision scars and it's been getting bigger and more painful gradually. Asked my physio who said wait til my follow up that was a month away. Week later I went to a&e because over night it got a lot bigger, they say try and get the follow up sooner. I had emailed the surgeon who didn't bother replying and had his secretary say see you on the follow up. Called again saying I really want a sooner appointment, I get one a week sooner. All this and I'm trying to sleep but massively stressed out because it started off as a very slight lump I could feel when I proded my leg and now it's this big thing that's visible through jeans. Looked it up and the internet and it could be some serious stuff and just so angry that it's taken almost a month now to actually get this looked at.

It's so frustrating not being able to move how my body wants to, wish I was a contortionist.
