  3. I'm sure someone's said the BB5's are theoretically more powerful anyway. I can't see it making much difference whatever you get. :'( Gotta love it.

    Ebay Help

I'm now more confused than ever. I sent him an email saying: Hi, Unfortunately, I have heard about scams that are similar to what you are doing, but I don't mean to offend you. If you could either reply with valid proof of sale, please do, as I'm very interested. I'm just a bit worried that you have a different account name in the email you sent than the seller who was selling the camera in the first place. I'd be more than happy to take the camera off your hands, if you can put it back on Ebay with a buy it now price of blah and notify me about it before you do. Otherwise, you could email your phone number so I know you're genuine. Thanks for your time. and he's said: "you dont have to worry because we will do this legal throught eBay. if you are still interested please let me know thanks " I get the feeling this is actually genuine, but none of us here really know for sure :'(

The thing is, it doesn't sound "to good to be true". It's not unrealistic by any means. I have just realised though, the email I got up there seems to be from a different Ebay account than the bloke who was selling in the first place :- Gotta be a scam? Edit: Good plan, ta.

    Ebay Help

Hey all, I put a bid in for an item I'm after, and lost, by a minute amount damnit :- Well anyway, it seems I've just got an email. It goes: ***Do not reply to this email . Contact the seller at this e-mail address :notgonnatellyou@aol.com***You expressed interest in an item titled blah blah (revised) Item number: blah" by bidding, however the auction has ended with another member as the high bidder. In compliance with eBay policy, the seller of that item is making this Second Chance Offer to you at your bid price of GBP blah. The seller has issued this Second Chance Offer because either the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction. If you accept this offer, you will be able to exchange Feedback with the seller and will be eligible for eBay services associated with a transaction, such as fraud protection. To purchase this item, don't reply to this mail, just contact the seller at notgonnatellyou@aol.com Thank you, eBay, Inc ***Do not reply to this email . Contact the seller at this e-mail address : notgonnatellyou@aol.com*** If this is genuine, it seems like a bit of an awesome deal, but I've heard stuff like this is often a scam? Thanking you, Dave
  7. But something can be done. Obviously this won't just make everything better, but it's a step in the right direction. I imagine, sadly, the situation will stay similar to what it is for probably our lifetime, but if the steps can be taken now to get things on a roll type thing, not as many people will die in the long run. As someone's said anyway, this ones just for awareness.
  8. Might not care, but, an extract from BT Broadband customers homepage thingymabob: "LONDON (Reuters) - Live 8 organiser Bob Geldof has condemned as "sick profiteering" the sale of charity concert tickets on auction Web site eBay. Tickets to the star-studded London show, which aims to pressure world leaders into fighting poverty, were given for free to the winners of a text lottery. But they immediately started appearing on eBay for hundreds of pounds. "I am sick with this," Geldof said in a statement. "What eBay are doing is profiteering on the backs of the impoverished. "The people who are selling it are wretches. But far worse is the corporate culture which capitalises on people's misery." Geldof organised the July 2nd concert 20 years after the Live Aid sensation which raised money to help the starving in Ethiopia. Rather than raise money, the 2005 concert aims to raise the profile of African poverty and influence the G8 group of industrialised nations which meets in Scotland in July. Four other concerts will be held around the world on the same day. Performers for the London concert include U2, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Madonna and REM. eBay could not be reached for a comment but the Daily Mirror newspaper quoted the company as saying they were selling the tickets because "we live in a free market where people can make up their own minds." The newspaper said eBay had offered to donate 1 pound for every pair of tickets sold but the singer had rejected this, saying it was not in the "spirit of the event". Over two million text messages were sent in a bid to get hold of tickets and the winners were notified on Monday. Pairs of tickets were being offered for several hundreds of pounds on eBay on Tuesday."
  9. I find the complete opposite to be easier :"> I know a few other people who do too.
  10. I completely disagree. I think if the World bank drop the charges the 3rd world countries 'owe' them, it could make a lot of difference. It's f**king stupid it's gone on for this long, when a decision like that is the obvious choice. Let's not start this though, heh (N)
  11. Will everyone that's been reserved a ticket now have been notified then? Yeah, I think that's wrong actually (N) Oops
  12. They're coooool photos (Y) But, importantly, MJ wants to play at Live8 (N)
  13. Oh, Stan, t'is Dandy Warhols - We Used to be friends
  14. Movie thing. Saw this a while ago and the editing, angles and riding are insane. It's also on Extreme at the moment though I think
  15. Haha, thankyou Mr. Adam. Was looking for 5 and 8 over 6 really though. The city was Sydney. I'm glad Mr. Royaltrials' got that :"> But, I don't see Adam (Tartridge, not Royaltrials) how you could have found that out? Have you been frame by framing it? You bad egg. Names, yeah, in the name thing, I had a list. The list thing is pretty screwed, as it was a bit small, and there's general names on there anyway, so any answers that were on that that any of you got don't count :-" Sydneys opera house flashes up just before the eiffel tower, it's not really seeable unless you know it's there. Royaltrials dude though, do you know what attracted you to Sydney? As for the envelopes, the emphasis was on the 5 and 8 (Were they the two you were thinking Si?) There were more messages placed for those than the 6. ALso, right before it cuts to the image of the envelopes, 3 x's flash in the place where they will be, but aren't yet. Thanks for the vote of confidence though Simon, shame it didn't work  Someone got Sydney though! Woo! And there's a few people with the right names (not hard) and envelopes :D Now everyone's calling me a wierdo though :-

  18. Ok, Ok, If you read the instructions, and follow all of them completely, this is more likely to work. DO NOT read any replies past thsi post if you wanna try it. Any other influences will ruin it! What you have to do, is answer the following: Name a name, any name. Name a city, except London or Paris. What envelope do you think the X was behind? Thanks, This *should* be fairly interesting. Please don't watch the video and analyse it though, if you have to watch it again, just watch it, don't look out for anything. Ok, look forward to hearing replies. Don't read past here until you've watched the vid and replied :turned: Ta, Dave
  19. Haha, don't worry. I didn't think to myself, "Oh, I know, I'll make a video for Trials-Forum" Just put it here to see what happens, it's mainly for people really. And yeah, just wanted to try something, which I find a bit interesting and wanted to see if somethings achievable really. Each to their own and whatever :turned: Questions sooooooon (Y)
  20. Cesars' did actually slip a fair bit when he was using it at the bike show. But, I dunno, a 20" wheel theoretically has 20% less spoke flex than a 26" wheel (?), depending on hub etc obviously, so it can't feel *that* wank? Actually, I take that back, It probably can feel wank, as it's a completely different feel to a HS33.
  21. Hey, Basically, download the video that is in this post, made by me, and I'm gonna put up a few questions for you all to answer later on. You may want to know what the f**k i'm on about, but just go with it, please (Y) Now for some crazy stuff that if you read but don't ask me what it's about :"> Posting makes me sic, I ate five types of food today on a velo(pe term) Right, now d/l this: Experiment and I'll put some questions up soon. Please don't try and crack the video, just go with it, or it might not work. This'll only work with a minority of people, or maybe none, but meh, we'll see :turned: Thanks, Dave (Questions will be up soon)

Ok, Gonna cut this short, as I wanna ride. Basically, snapped my bb axle 2 days ago, that being the first I've had for the BT. Now, In coming to replace it, I find that the plastic adaptor ring thing on the non-drive side, is fooked. Notches have broken of etc and my tool wont fit in it. It's square taper by the way. How do I get it off? Ta!
