    Wide Rim

Sorry to drag this back up a bit, and I do agree with you about the rims etc completely, but, 'top class' riders get either hardly any, or no money to ride for a certain name. Alot of it's just paying for transport and entry fee's ect, and giving bike parts to them to either test, or, when they're broken. It's not like a salary, really it isn't. You noticed how Koxx wouldn't pay for TRA to fly to the bikeshow? You noticed how Ashton starting selling his own stuff? Or how Akrigg works in AVC? They don't rely on the money they get paid to ride. And I really doubt the Koxx riders have more than one mod and stock at a time. That actually had nothing to do with this topic though :)
  3. I think that's the most mental riding I've actually ever seen. Loving the wheelie things on the rails, that's insane. Wasn't really into the music and the video, but the riding was just immense. Have you thought about experimenting with some not so heavy music? Anyway, mad riding. Literally, the *biggest* stuff that I've ever seen. I still prefer watching other riders really though, just for techy and not quite as big stuff. Making a ntural video might open my eyes a bit more though :P Nice one :)
  4. Nope (Y) If its just a bleed and you haven't split anyhting, it's fine :)
  5. Hehe, it's fine dude. Nobodys going to bite, I hope (Y)
  6. Biology double was ridiculous. I guessed everything except the differences between animal and plant cells (Y) It does my head in though, the double award thing. I need BB to get into Physics at A level, but I'm bollocks at Chemistry and Biology. Why can't they just have three different papers? :D Ok, why can't my school choose to do it then (Blunt answer Tomm, blunt answers are scary :( ) Geography was ace though, Dannymavicreadingblueandsilveremo dude, did you do it? :-" Woo, Reading! Nah, was super easy though, but the grade boundaries'll probably be super high though :"> Good day up until Biology :-
  7. Pretty sure this is for 24" though. They look, erm, beefy.
  8. It's a holiday place Will, so there might be a club in the evening with fun-filled evening activities! Might even play pass the parcel :) (Not sure :- )
  9. Liked that. Really makes me want to ride proper Yorkshire gritstone though :o Oh well, the 25th's not too far away :o" Crazy moves, wasn't in to the music, but what can you do.
  10. That was awesome :) Dani Comas though :) Erm, Crazy. What happened to his brake? Nice one!
  11. Yoyo homies, Je veux monter la gorge de Shipley, parce que fondamentalement, la fois passée je suis allé, il étais impressionnant. Shipleys awesome, there hasn't been a big ride there for ages, last summers was probably the best ride I've ever been on. Exams will be finished for most people. Trains run at weekends again! Err, yeah, who'd be up for it basically? Saturday the 25th Juneage <_< Davey
  12. You have an Avid already = much easier. You just need a new rotor size and the mounting bracket. The brackets only like £7 from CRC or Wiggle if I remember correctly. Then you need the rotor. Replace the old bracket with the new, Replace the old disk with the new, sorted. New size system  As for rotor size, I upgraded from a 165 avid to a 203 avid. (By the way, you can't get 200mm or 205mm Avids, only 203 and 185) It makes alot of difference. There's alot more power and I haven't noticed an increase in overheating and fading to be honest. However, pad choice is pretty vital to have a decent avid. Upgrading from 165 to 203 came with a pad chance. Going from Avid pads to Aztec pads. They're really nowhere near as good. I'd say whilst I was running Aztec pads on my 203, the 165 with Avid pads was probably better. Anyway, yeah, it's a good move :D Dave
  13. Yeah, so was I  Not looking good :D Sort another one out in the next couple of weeks though? :S Rain is crap :D
  14. Dude, nobody else could have done what you've done, so well done basically, I heard you were spending crazy money per month, so it's perfectly understandable what you're doing. Cheers for the service though, without a doubt, the best place to host videos ever :- Thanks
  15. :) Well, what an awesome video. Some amazing riding going on :deej: Liked the video as a whole too :D I must say I prefer Jons overall style on the 24" over the MAD, maybe it's just getting used to a new bike though. Still, really good video (Y)

    New Vid

Firstly, damn you Ali :"> I've wanted to use Badly Drawn Boy in a vid for ages :D Really liked the video though :) Do you like water Iolo? Really nice riding :deej: Video was really chilled, cool (Y) Dave
  17. Manchester ride going on Thursday (I think, if Tomm says yes :) instead of Wednesday ). It's a quality place. I'm most likely gonna be getting a direct train seen as it's much easier. But it arrives in at 10.20 :) So, shall we say 11ish at Picadilly? Don't mind waiting ;) Me and Tomm so far :) Anybody fancy it? Dave :D
  18. Maybe I've already done that :turned:
  19. Yo, Earlier this morning, I got some avid pads through the post as my others fell apart. I put them in, with the spring, and also put an FR-1 lever on instead of the SD5 i'd been running previously. Well, it's being crap, basically. It felt nice, but then after about 5 or so pulls of the lever, the blade came really close to the bar. I kept turning the outboard adjuster, which made it go back to normal. I think the problem is with the adjusters, that even when dialled in, it still wants to go back, even without being turned back, and does. I at first thought this could be the spring, so took it out. It's made no difference though :turned: Ideas would be good :S Ta, Dave
  20. Really like it man (Y) Must be an absolute blast to ride :D
  21. Nice one Will (Y) Some ace riding going on. Enjoyed it :-
  22. What's going on with all the slating of 'styles' going on at the moment? It seems a minority can't accept the reason we ride trials. For fun? Why do people find other types of trials wrong? Like a street style is gash, and UCI is gay? What reasoning is behind you not actually accepting that different people ride in different ways, because their boat is floated differently? This isn't a slate by the way, I'm genuinely interested to hear the reasoning behind your thoughts :S Err, yeah, kind of hard to explain, so I can see myself coming across as a tit, but you know. Just wanna try and see where you're coming from really ;) Dave - This topic didn't work did it? Edit: Haha, sorry Matt (Y)
  23. I can see that becoming 'the in thing' though (Y) "It's cool to do community service and wear a bright suit" :D I really hope that it works though, definitely worth a try. Anyways, as much as I disagree with having a baby at such a young age, I'm sure it doesn't neccisarily mean you'll instantly have no life. You hear of young mothers who have been successful and enjoyed growing up still. I'm sure, if you were to try, you could just adapt your lifestyle around your children, and enjoy your life, but in an ever so slightly different way. Infact, having children at a young age could actually bring you more happiness in some cases. Anyway, Yeah, I disagree and think it's pretty wrong, but what can you do? Oh, wait... Davey Edit: Those Electronic Tag things are becoming a bit cool now aren't they?
  24. Easy. I moved from Monty's, to Try-alls, and now Onza Carbons. I couldn't feel the flex when I moved from Montys to Try-alls, but when I moved from them to Onza's, you can tell the other, non-carbons ( :) ) are so flexy. It's hard to explain why the Carbons are so good really, but they are :)" Very comfortable, the perfect width for me, Stiff in comparison, look good :"> Seriously though, personally, the carbons worked the best for me out of all the above :P Don't know what you're talking about Mark (Y)"
