watched your vid on PB, you're getting pretty good at your filming and editing and i think older music goes pretty well, on the note about the palletts i dont think its cheating just get the technique right with the 'ramping' then just gradually make it more of a square edge as you improve

The one ive got on mine: rare Magura Evo 2 carbon booster, only one ive seen managed to pick it up off here for a bargain!

Got a 2.4 Holyroller on the back and a 2.2 Moto RT on the front of mine, only went for a narrower front tyre to keep the weight low on the front, the Mto RT is a good tyre, pretty light and rolls well but does have its limits when cornering. Gonna try my 2.3 kenda k rad on the front again despite it being heavier. 2.4 Holy roller on the back is good, really grippy but rolls well too and seems to resist punctures well but i have the tyre pressure higher than normal because the hooly roller feels a bit squidgey when hopping.

As sad as it seems ive created a playlist on my iPod for music to listen to when riding. Its 250 songs of everything from Amon Tobin to Rise Against and Fatboy Slim to The Offspring its a mix of everything really, mostly songs from my favourite riding videos, i have most of the GET2 and Our Summer soundtrack so theres a bit of hip hop and breakbeat thrown in such as Simply Cryptic, Kids in Tracksuits, The Roots, DJ Shadow, Ghost, Jedi Mind Tricks etc as well as some instrumental stuff. I find that the quieter more ambient music makes me ride better i feel more calm and can think easier, whereas i have some thrash metal stuff on there and i cant concentrate so well as theres too much noise going on. If anyone watches Top Gear you may or may not take note of the music they use but they always choose the right song to fit and some music used is just awesome, i find this website is handy for identifying songs used on Top Gear

hmm maybe its my grinding technique or the fact that by the time i use the grinder the disc is blunt cause my dad uses it often. Whats the best way of sharpening it? It seems strange on a street bike but i like plenty of bite

Just a quick question on how many grinds my rim will take before it does any structural damage and begins to weaken the rim. Its the older style Atomlab Pimplite rim. So far since xmas its had 3 light grinds and im using heatsink yellows so i can go slightly harsher if i wanted to. I ride fairly often and a light grind usually lasts me about 4 or 5 weeks. The wheels are fairly expensive and so i dont want to have to chuck em so soon, i would like to get the most out of the rims. Also whats the best disc for grinding rims, im using metal cutting discs and they seem to really make a mess when they're new but i can get a better gring when its been used a bit and is a bit blunt. Any help appreciated! Dan

i take it everyone got pished and buggered off in the early hours. Ocht well....Kev just to say you worked hard to get this all running and woulda been a great comp if it werent for typical heeland weather but nowt ye can do about that. Il definitely be back up to the mound in fairer weather though. Would there be a chance of slipping it in later on in the year? One other thing kev, ive realised i havent paid my fees but i shall get that done at glasgow.
