Best way I've found is leaving the tyre on the wheel, lock the cog in a vice then get a friend and grab the wheel and unscrew. I tried so many things last time and that's what finally did it in the end >_< Dave

I'm very tempted...Looks like being a good one provided the weathers fine. Dave

Any chance of someone shacking it? I wanna see it!! Dave

You need to be at an angle to the wall to start with, with your good foot furthest away so you can get the bike and rear wheel as tight into the wall as you can. Then it's all about compressing your body and rear tyres slightly before exploding upwards. For bigger swaps it is as much brute strength as technique. Once you've jumped upwards, you need to throw the bike up and in front of you (as you would to back wheel) and place the rear tyre on the wall. I think that's how I do it anyway... Dave

Haha, no one told me that! I was rock climbing and paintballing in a cast after I broke my wrist... Can't say I did much riding though. Dave

There's nothing wrong with it as such, the problem I saw was that it only comes in one colour. Therefore when you go out on a ride, there are three or four bikes looking identical. So I sprayed mine something a little 'different'! On a different note, how have people got on with the Onza carbon risers? My rex came with the flats but they were too low. I'm currently running Monty risers but they'll need changing fairly soon. Dave

Onza's bad rep definately stems from a few years ago when they were a new company to trials and they're products were aimed very much at the budget end of the market. They have continued to make the odd design blunder which hasn't helped their case. However, in the last two years, they've started producing some very good stuff at very good prices. Ok, so the stuff I'm talking about isn't exactly unique in a design sense but it is very good value. A few years back I wouldn't have touched anything Onza with a 10ft pole, but today I'm the very happy owner of a T-Rex with Woodstock components and am very impressed with the standard of the bike. The only quibble being the colour, hence: Dave

Front taps + Broken wrist = hehe, good going Mr Johns.

Very nice Manuel. How's the scaphoid? I think trials riders should all undergo an operation to remove the little b@st@rd thing! Dave

Tis at the trials mecha known as Portland Bill :P The place rules! Dave Derf... lol

Just dug these up... Pic by Shaun Roster Quality isn't all that due to compression but even though the moves nothing special I like this pic, perfect blue skies and Portland go together well! Dave

Still love this pic. Taken by Dan from Salisbury

Don't think this has been posted yet but BMXigans have posted the April monthly movie and has some really sick brakeless street in it. Very impressive riding- Edwin Delarosa wannabe's eat your hearts out! Dave

Communism is good IN THEORY. The problem is that any communist countries have been led by tyrannic asshole dictators who aren't looking for the best for their people. Share the love! (Y)

Indeed you can. I specced mine to them wondering if they'd do it and a week later it came out as an official spec on Onza's website. Spec 2 if you're not overly fussed on compnents or have a more limited budget, Woodstock spec if you fancy being extravagent and getting a CK hub, front disc etc. Dave

Not sure about the college...Uni has always had a good rep (Do you mean college or Robert Gordons?) Riding wise, there used to be quite a good scene in and around Aberdeen but Since moving to Southampton to go to uni I haven't actually ridden there for about 4 years. There's plenty of natural around insch and Inverurie (Bennaichie should be virtually on your doorstep which offers some real good terrain). There used to be a few good riders in Inverurie and Stonehaven too, Ben-does Paul or Kev still ride? Aberdeen itself has some really good spots in and around the centre but as for riders I've kinda fallen out of the loop now. Dave

Good call. Didn't think custom riders did free postage. Dave edit: are you sure they do free postage? here?

Yeah but Winstanleys and Supercycles charge £4 postage, whereas BMX-shop (which used to be post free on everything...) only charge a £1.99 handling fee for orders under £50... Gonna order a couple very soon  Dave

I know a BMXer who doesn't do anything big who made his Shadow Conspiracy chain fall apart in about a week... Avoid methinks! Also, on the KMC front, check out the 'Eastern' Kool chains for sale on BMX-shop. They are also KMC Kools but only £6.99. Dave

After riding mod for about 5 years, I got myself a T-rex the other day and find it very different to stick stuff to backwheel. I think it's mainly to do with the length and weight distribution of a stock compared to the mod. I need to keep the stock more vertical when I go to back wheel (i.e. put more effort in) in order to land with the centre of gravity in the right place and keep the front up. Still trying those front touch things though... Dave

I'll be there provided I'm able to skag a lift off of Matt Urban... Will be on 20" though cos I'm not used to the 26 after the comp last sunday. Should be staying in to take delivery of my new BMX but I haven't been to Brizzol for AGES!! Dave
