The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English". In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter. In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away. By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru. Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in Ze forst plas.

I'm not much of a traveler, but the places I think about wanting to visit are Japan, Austria and maybe Montreal, Canada (during the warm month, hehe).

You're getting a lot of guff over the ads, aren't you? It's your product, so do what you want. I especially like the cast with the Monty logo written on it. Nice work and riding. Looked like some fun time spent.

I've found that paths are quite useful, but for particular purposes. One case might be preparing them to save as a clipping path so that your image or artwork can be imported into other applications where the background can be automatically removed without all the crappy jagged edges that the auto detect options that Quark and InDesign have. I use paths daily for many different things. In general, you're right though. They're still kind of clunky in Photoshop, as they seem to be a newer element that has crept over from dedicated vector apps like Illustrator and Freehand where they are much more manageable. Anyway, keep messing with 'em and you'll find that they can be quite powerful for different things. Cheers!

I'm kinda new too, maybe been riding 6 or 7 months now on a mod. Don't have anyone to ride with bein' a yank stuck in the middle of nowhere so development for me is a bit slower than some who have to show up their mates and whatnot. I've been practicing trackstands like JT! said and back hops. Also endos, hopping/rocking in place, both on flat and getting the front wheel on higher things and staying in place. Most importantly for me lately has been adding in pedal kicks to get the front wheel onto higher things like picnic tables and stuff like that. Anyway, might be some good places to start. Go find some mates to roll with though. That will probably get you started faster than me! Also check out thrashzen if you haven't already.

Yep, activate rulers and use the guides or InDesign as mentioned. BUT I do know what you're talkiing about. The pen tool is still in shape mode. Annoying as all hell. Every time you draw and complete a line it creates a new layer. Click on the icon to the right like noted in this pic I've added. Should be good to go then.

Oh, duh, 160 on the rear probably would be a bad idea. May have gotten my numbers crossed with all the threads I was reading through in the search. Thanks for noting that! So maybe shoot for the 203s front and rear? I very much like the on off switch effect I've nailed on my mod vee's. I'd like to accomplish that with the discs on the future stock build. Discs work pretty good in rainy weather too, right?

Hi all, Gonna start building a stock bike up. One of the considerations I'd like to make is going dual disc. I have a complete new set of Avid BB7s I got for some t-shirt work and it's supplied with 160mm rotors front and rear. From what I have found out through some searching is that I might consider a 185 front/160mm rear combo. Does this sound about right for 26" rims? If it helps, I weigh in about 205 pounds. And on a side note, are there a particular brand or type of pads that I might consider that would be more suited for trials? thanks for any input!

Wow, this is the funniest thing I've read in a while. Dunno if I would have the fear of anyone that called themselves "Boiz" or "Crew" That is so top 40 milktoast gangsta. Ooooh I think I just wet myself! Maybe they're more dangerous than I'm making it out to be, but that cracks me up right! We have our share of over inflated feelings and turf issues over here too between this gang and that gang and people wanting to swipe your stuff. I just tend to figure out where they loiter and avoid all that mess after dark. Anyway, stay safe everyone! Time for a beer ...

16-17 here. Driving a hand me down beater of a car, drinking, girls giving it up, parties, easy work and school and skateboarding with my friends as much as we could. Those were the days for me. I miss 'em, but I always look forward to creating the fun days ahead of me too.

Hehe, pretty good list there. My personal motto: I'd try that, but I suck.

Hi again, I made a few minor revisions to accommodate the possible fabric colors and to spruce it up a bit. Each design only uses two colors and allows some of the fabric to show through and breathe more in the bunny/circle area so that the ink doesn't feel like a plastic sheet when you're wearing it. Thanks for the opportunity!

What's green and goes "slam slam slam slam?" A four door pickle. Thanks for the applause! I'll be here all night...

I remember always being one of the dense kids who missed out on all the crazes. Guess I was - and am still - a dork. However, I finally got some of those fat neon orange shoe laces for my All-Stars. I think they were cool in 1985. Bonus points for me!

Oh I don't know. I think it's relevant. Active people tend to be healthier as the body tends to maintain it's natural chemical balances better and is more actively repairing itself. I would also think that active people have a higher tendency to break bones because they're out moving about and subjecting themselves to other things that don't involve sitting on a couch or in an office chair. Just my opinion though.

Any word on what's going on with these? Just wondering.

441 Thanks for playing.

Yup, got my helmet on whenever riding. I'm too clumsy not to take a chance. Personally, I refer to those who don't wear them as organ donors, but I respect their choices.

Sort of a bump here. Good video there. Thanks for putting that together. Like the others have suggested, I'd seriously consider safety goggles. I've had those fiberglass and stone wheels come apart at 68000rpm and the shrapnel they can produce could destroy your vision forever. Otherwise, top notch! Thanks for sending me the link.

Thanks all! Makes sense and thank for the link. I may have seen that some time ago, but I'll revisit it.

I think a lot of issues stated with either system can be avoided with proper preventive maintenance checks on a more than occasional basis. I feel it's imperative to constantly check and adjust one of the most important parts of your bike for your own safety. Maybe I do that too much with my vees. And yeah, fatigued or old parts can fail instantly with eye opening results I'm sure, so I would have to assume that even maggies need time spent looking over everything and adjustments as well. As far as the replacing cables more than socks - I can wear my socks for months. Ewwww
