  1. I should be up for this if your not going to Porthcawl, never had a group ride at Lepe. Best place to park is if you go through Holbury and follow Lepe Road along the sea front until the road splits and park by the junction (as its free) and go through the gate down to the front and then ride towards the main car park until you get to the first set of rocks. Might see if I can drag a couple others down as well.
  2. There are such things as thread less BB that you can use when the threads on the frame are damaged but not sure if you can get them in isis, also the bash plate thread should be an easy fix with a heli kit as it is a standard sized thread.
  3. Was a good evening ride, will definitely have to go back to that last spot again when its lighter.
  4. Thats what I thought to start with but a clean and sanded pads later still no luck. Will probably stip it down tomorrow and give it all a good clean and a fresh grind but the maggie will be staying away. Could look good in a ruby red, would go with all the bolts.
  5. Was a good ride sunday, dunno what I did at the end but my rear brake just will not work again lol. Bike looks very nice but think you should keep it white.
  6. You are correct, but why have you got 30/27=0.9 in there?

    Yaabaa 1499

Thanks for all the good comments. I have never had any problems with my fingers getting tired, the BB7 and BB5 have a small adjustment screw on them that allow you to adjust the strength of the spring, making it easier or harder to pull so you can adjust it to how you ride if you do find your finger is getting tired, making it too light will make it less responsive when you let go of the lever. I would say make sure that you get a good cable and lever as this will make it a lot smoother if you do go for a BB7.

    Yaabaa 1499

Cheers, dont have any pictures of it at the moment but will get some more this afternoon.
  9. Finaly got my Yaabaa built up how I wanted it. The chain stay had been snapped at the dropout end but I had it welded and an added brase to give it added strength and now matches the nondrive side. 10. Thought I would keep this thread going with some Pictures of some stuff I have made to bulid up another frame: Snail cams designed to fit my Hope Pro 2 hub with nylon washer to keep the non driveside cam in place. DSCF1431 by Oli_P, on Flickr DSCF1426 by Oli_P, on Flickr I also had to make some V mounts that would bolt straight onto the 4 bolt mounts by making custom posts and adapters. The first set were not high enough at the back and the V-brake arm hit against them where the pads mount. Managed to get the second pair just right and I am very happy with how they turned out. 11. Sweet, give me a shout any time you head down there as I live about 5min away and ride there regularly.
  12. Do you mean Lepe Beach? Might be able to ride Poole sunday, but will have to see if I can get my bike working again.
  13. I should be in for this depending on if I can get my rear brake to work this evening.
  14. I have done a similar thing with the forks but instead of a grub screw just put a nut either side of it to keep it in place. Also made some snail cams over the weekend to fit my Pro 2 hub without having to jam them in the frame.
  15. I could be up for this, but would have to be sunday.
  16. Im there but not sure what frame im going to be riding, has Nathie got a frame yet?
  17. Im up for southampton and should have my other frame built up by sunday
  18. When and where we meeting if its does happen?
  19. I will come along if it dries up.
  20. Try checking the end cap on the drive side for any marks on the in side, as if it is done up to tight the rubber o ring can come out of its slot and rub against the bearing causing it to bind up.

    Mad Phase 1.2

Theres no reason why you cant try it but it will also make the bike feel longer as well. People do put mod stems on stocks but they do tend to be on the shorter side of mod stems. Other than that play around with the angle of the bars as this can somtimes make a lot of difference to how the bike feels and try the extra spacer.

    Mad Phase 1.2

I did not find it that bad and Im 6' 7" but before I had it I had an Onza T-Raptor with a low stem and flate bars. Do you ride another bike or have you switched to the phase from another bike that had a higher front end? As this could explain why it feels low.

    Mad Phase 1.2

I have just looked at my phase 1.3 with standard forks and stem and it looks like its got 3 5mm spacers and 1 10mm spacer. The only thing you can do is try putting the extra spacer in and look at where the stem is and make sure that there is plenty of steer tube for it to clamp on to.
  24. I will be going to pompey, when and where are you meeting Luke?
  25. So where is everyone riding christmas eve? The weather is looking like it will clear up by friday.
