Sould be a good days riding, is anyone going to be there for 11 or are people waiting till 12 for free parking?

I would wait and get a second hand bike from on here for more money. I had a Phase 1.3 and within 3 months the chainstay had cracked on the drive side due to the design of the frame is made to have a 22T front sprocket so they cut out part of the chainstay to allow this, but they can and have lasted longer. It is a nice frame but the standard parts on it are not of the best spec but for the money you will not get anything better unless you spend a little more on a second hand bike.

Anyone want to come out ride, should be a nice day. Meet 11 at Spar.

I just had some heavy rain but I can see blue sky now. Can someone tell me if it is going ahead as early as possible as it takes me some time to get into town.

The forecast is looking like more rain. Will anyone be out if it is raining as I dont mind getting wet and realy want to ride.

The frame looks great and would be great if it was made for 26" wheels but having it in 24" is just wrong and I just do not see the point of it apart from the small number of people that find mod to small and stock to big.

I will be at spar at 11 and should have some one else coming down his jump bike as well.

Good to see some locals coming out, the weather is looking mixed with some say cloudy and some say showers in the morning. Also for some people coming from portsmouth way this is the last weekend before they close the train tunnel in southampton till January.

Weather is looking better for sunday so who is up for riding?

I will be out if it is Southampton, may ride portsmouth if there is a good enough turn out.

I need to save my money for driving lessons so I am forced to ride local, so is any one able to ride southampton with me on sunday or are most people going to portsmouth? Cheers Oli

I had this problem but I found that it was because I had done it up to tight and the drive side end cape had started rubbing against the bearing and made the end cape have a ridge around where the plastic end cap of the bearing is and was rubbing on the bearing making the freewheel stiff. I fixed it by using a lathe and turning down the end cape a small amount so that there was only a ridge in the centre so it can rest against the inner ring of the bearing so the freewheel could move easily. Another way to fix it is to find the correct sized washer and put it between the end cap and the inner ring of the bearing (eg a spare washer from inside the freewheel mechanism, if it is the correct thickness).

I will be there just after 11 but I will only be there until just before 1. I will be back out at 6 if any one is still out about? If not I will have to ride by myself. Also, Nathan have you still got those bars that I can have?

I have not riden soton for a while so that gets my vote but it would have to be a late afternoon-evening ride for me to come as I have work saturday till 6.

Some one does need to make a good carbon V-booster, I have been looking for one but I can not find any good ones.

Its not to bad by car but by train it is terrible to get there. I am learning to drive so by the new year I should be able to drive down.

If only I lived closer to Pompey.

I realy want to come and do some natty riding but the 3 hour train journey is not great. Anyone able to give me a lift, I will pay some petrol money.

Might just do that, Ill have to see how I can get there.

They are open Monday-Friday unless it says on there website that they are closed for maintance or some other reason.
