  1. I think bournmouth is a bad idea for riding in the day as most of the places that I know of are in the highstreet, and on christmas eve it will be ridiculously busy. My vote is for portsmouth just because the spots are not going to be that busy, or possibly maybe if the weather is nice a natty ride e.g Barton or Milford possibly.
  2. It is larger bottom headset cup, I believe it is just to add strength. Edit: beaten to it.
  3. Thanks for that, should be alright on the height restriction until I come to walk out, Lol. Luke could I get your number incase I dont get there on time?
  4. I should be there, been trying to get nathie wafie to come but cant get hold of him. Also anyone know where the best place to park is?
  5. Cool, going back to TGS machine. No not working today, if you do go in be aware of the idiots on bikehut.
  6. Yer I sould be free sunday, depending on how much uni work I can get done after work on saturday. What bike are you getting?
  7. I have not been getting out nearly as much as I like to and need to ride. Im not to bothered where as long as it is not to far from southampton if anyone is riding tomorrow. Wheather is also looking good. Cheers Oli
  8. I may come along but the weather is not looking good.
  9. If anyone is riding Southampton then I will ride there but if not I will head down to Portsmouth.
  10. I would recomend changing the front brake for a BB7 with a larger rotor which will give you more than enough power. Also I found that with the standard rear V and a good set of pads (LGV) and a light grind will give you a far better brake than a magura with evo mounts.
  11. Looks very nice, if they make it with the same wheel base, a lower bb and dropouts that can be used with a Hope or King I would get one. Vee mounts would also be nice.
  12. Im up for riding sunday. Not to sure where, Southampton is more convenient for me but have never ridin poole before, but i can pretty much go anywhere.
  13. I will be there after all but have also not been able to get hold of Terry.
  14. I had a pair for around 10 months before they snapped and a bought them second hand. I take it that it snapped at the step down between the lower bolt and the V pivot. I'm using Echo mounts at the moment and they seem to be a lot stronger between bolt and the pivot but obviously they dont have the adjustment of the onza adapters.
  15. I have had a quick go one as I work at Halfords and it is very nice to ride but obviously I have not given it a good go off road. If you do go for it then most likely you will have to get it ordered as they do not normaly stock them make sure that you ask for it in a box and that you do not want it to be built as I have seen lots of bikes being setup incorrectly. Obviously do not buy the display bike as it will have been ridden by most of the staff, the one we have in my store has has mud on the tyres and the handle bars were not done up and have twisted and has destroyed them. Make sure that you do not get put off by Halfords reputation, for the price you are getting a very good bike and wish I had the money to get one.
  16. I will be out in the evening if any one is still going to be about.
  17. I need to get a new BB as my Echo TR has just died after just over a year of use, I have been looking at the TrialTech lite but Im just woundering if the bearings can be replaced if they die? If so can they be replaced with the new neon bearings as they both seem to have the smaller bearing design?
  18. Anyone know if the parking on the roads opposite the law courts is free on a Sunday?
  19. Over all if think the best bet is to put it at the front due to if you put it at the back then you will have to run a larger front cog and bashring which will add more weight, also puting it on the back will give less slack between engagments but the difference between it being on the back than the front will be almost unnoticeable. Having the weight in the middle will help espesialy when doing sidehops. If you have a threaded hub and cranks then the best option is to put it on the cranks. TGS stands for Taps Gaps and Sidehops.

Not to sure yet, he will probably decied Sunday morning. Thanks for the good comments.
  21. Lol, yer obviously it will make a small difference as when I preload I move my cranks back a small amount but the differnce my Hope Pro 2 trials and a Echo SL freewhel is minimal from what I have found. If you are thinking of getting a rear hub over a freewheel then the reason I went for a rear hub is how easy it is to take it apart and service it and also the reliability of the hub but obviously some of the freewheels out are becoming extremely reliable. Edit: If you do get a hub with less engagments you will soon get use to it and after a while you will not notice the difference.
  22. Yer with side hops and gaps if you keep the cranks from moving back and the freewheel or hub engaged then it will not affect it a large amount. But if you do move them back with more engagment you will get better pick than if you have a freewheel/hub with less egagment that often put people off and why they go for more engagments.
  23. The talk of the amount the cranks move by having it on the back than the front with the same ratio is consistant to if your rolling or if you are starting from stationary. Also the way that Chris kings work is different to 'normal' but it does still have engament points so it will feel extremely similar to a normal rear free hub but obviously with more engagments well thats how I have found trying one compared to my Hope.
  24. Here are some pictures of my Ozonys XS26 now that I am happy with the way it rides and the way it looks. There are also a couple of pictures of my brothers Rockman Aurem. I have also just finished making a fibreglass chainstay protector as I toar loads of protectors and did not want to keep buying chainstay protectors. Comments Welcome. Can put up specs if requested.
