  1. Basically, it was the admins who validated you. As long as new members used proper grammar/speeling and made constructive, well thought out posts, they were made full members. Because of this, it took longer to get validated (on average) but there wern't any stupid threads in the full members area. I think the admins got fed up of trawlling through peoples' posts to see if they were worthy of validation though..... (not a dig a admin btw ).
  2. Thats one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. I bet the real reason is because he isn't old enough and the parents won't allow him to advertise on ebay. Why not look at completed listings (you need an account to search for them but surely you know someone with and ebay account) and see how much Onza Rips are going for, in the same condition as yours?
  3. Chill. As long as you make constructive posts, use proper grammar and spelling, you'll be validated in no time. Especially on this new system! I'd ask admin to close your other topics/threads if I was you, then, re-read the guidelines and put up a decent thread/post . Or if you just want to sell stuff, you could try this.
  4. Yeah, sounds good. I'm only back home every so often though due to uni (Derby) but I have another 2 weeks off now .
  5. Thanks. The Echo stem is one I bought from Tarty quite a while ago, when they only came in one size. Think it was the 08 model? It does look fairly high in the pics but it is nice to ride with, currently been swapping between a Zoo! mod stem and an Echo stem thats inbetween the two, I'm sticking with this one for the time being lol. Edit: Yeah, I like the silver rims as it accentuates the holes, especially with everything else on the wheels in black . Oh and it does ride well .
  6. Having finally managed to get pictures to show, here we are! Started on this one off frame T-pro, fairly standard spec. Then slowly upgraded nearly all the components... And a while ago now, fancied something a little longer and snapped up this CLS Python! Current spec is; - '06 CLS Python - Echo Lites - Echo headest - Echo stem - Zoo! bars - Trialtech foam - Hope trial 180mm with carbon fibre lever (07 lever blades do fit on the older style lever ) - HS33 with Echo clamps and Zoo! lever - Echo urban rims - Echo rear hub - Hope pro2 front - Front creepy - Rear Monty - ENO Freewheel - Echo cnc cranks - vp pedals Thanks for looking!
  7. Yeah, what he said . Do your research and you'll soon be able to find a good one. Who cares? You both have been warned for whatever reason, get over it.
  8. Really good vid, love those 08 GU frames
  9. Nah, Muc-off Bike Spray is where it's at. Feels as thin as water but with the lubricity of oil to keep the pistons working smoothly and it WON'T FREEZE!
  10. I've got nothing against the Onza Rip but I think that a slightly older T-pro is a better starter bike. If you don't want to be spending hundreds of pounds, a T-pro will be cheaper in the long run as you can pick a decent on up for £150> pretty much all of them will come with HS33's (the frame has 4 bolt mounts, not vee mounts unless its the 07/08?) and they have a rear 19" rim which means you can steadily upgrade the parts as they break/as you fancy. When you do want to change the bike, all you can do then is buy a new frame and simply transplant all the parts onto that and have a pretty much top spec bike, dependingly obviously on the parts you buy etc. Hope this helps.
  11. I was in the exact same position as you are on choosing a new freewheel, Try-all or ENO? Even though the 108 engagements sounded tempting, I decided to buy the ENO as 72 is still a consdiderable amount of engagements and it just seems a more durable freewheel. Of course, if any part should break, Tarty stock all the individual components enough said really, ENO all the way!
  12. No. The smaller wheel will just rotate more times than the larger wheel along the distance travelled. The tyres used on 19" rims are oversized anyway, the increase in volume means that the overall diameter of the tyre/wheel is the same of that as a front 20" wheel/tyre...
  13. A very valid point. Hopefully other frame manufacturers (namely deng) will take note of Onza's actions and start producing frames with longer geometry. Just think of how many wanted topics there are for a LONG mod frame!!!
  14. Damn! I was sure it was a Mission Prodigy or the like.......
  15. Yep, out the other night, absolutely freezing but wasn't bad once I'd warmed up
  16. No buying/selling in new members chat! I'd edit your topic before it gets closed........
  17. Hey, I'm running a set of Echo cnc cranks with an Eno. Can't report any problems with the threads, had the freewheel off a couple of times to service it and everything is fine (both cranks and freewheel).
  18. At home, 10-15 min drive. At uni, 15 min walk.
  19. Trialtech foam, you'll never look back .
  20. Same. From working, I buy the stuff I want and don't actually need/want anything for xmas. That said, I'd kill for a mk5 Golf Better start saving.....
