  1. Haha. I thought they were. They sound mad lol, just out of interest, whats the feel of the engagement like (as in the stiffness of the spring)? In real life are they louder than the Tensile 96?
  2. What freewheel / hub are people running in both clips?
  3. Any deng frame from around 05-08 should be ideal. Have a scoot around the for sale section, usually a few bargains to be had....
  4. Love the front wheel hops down the steps as well!
  5. Hey, just tried Pming you. Could you Pm how much you reckon is a fair price for my Onza? :P

  6. Yeah I was on about the 07 Urban rim. (although deng made no other sort of rim that year??) Ahhh right, I see, flatter profile etc. Agreed, for the price, theres no beating the 07's, I'll take the weight penalty if it means I'm not always conscious that I'll break/buckle them .
  7. Weren't the 06's made with rather large holes? Then for 07 they were made a smidge smaller, creating a montrously strong rim? My 07's are 18 months+ old, still true!!!
  8. and I doubt anyone would pay that much for a scratched disc......
  9. Gutted. Rode with him a couple of weeks back, he looked quite a smooth rider and the frame didn't look battered at all, wierd ......
  10. Just til they tighten flush, then nip then up a quarter of a turn, or something like.
  11. What about the axle bolts? My bike was creaking, the reason, the rear axle bolts had become a little loose!
  12. Possibly, buy a complete bike then sell the frame and buy the Because, transplanting all the parts over? Might work out even cheaper
  13. Nothing 'fancy' about it Just, you wouldn't get crap stuck to it then. Of course, theres always proper rim tape
  14. Not if you get 2 strips and stick both sides with adhesive together.
  15. Yeah. Whack it on the 'bay with either a reserve or start bid of 'x' amount. The worst that can happen is it doesn't sell and it will have only cost you a couple of quid.
  16. Around £100 on ebay? A quick look shows standard(ish) ones going for less..... Just my two cents...
  17. Yeah, I was thinking this as well. Are parts available as a 'special order' via Tarty to the Monty factory, for the owner of the special edition?
  18. Heatsink Yellows all the way. The key is to have a sharp grind and you'll get loads of bite. Also, make sure they are set up perfectly square as the cnc backingsare very stiff, this will allow the pads to transfer more braking force. Been running a set for ages now on a sharp medium grind, still got 6+mm of material left. Well worth the money.
  19. Here we go! A brand spanker, 4 bolt, loooooong!........ Click thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!
  20. Koxx browns are pretty good. I found you have to have quite a brutal sharp grind to really get the best out of them as they are a fairly hard pad. Recently ground a friends rim with a harsh sharp grind, put these pads on it and the bite/hold/noise was immense. Despite harsh grinds, don't be fooled these last bloody ages, pretty sure I read on here a while ago someone had been running a set for over a year and they still had loads of meat left on them.... Hope that helps you...
  21. Are you after a mod? If so, pm 'headley' on here. He has a long 4 bolt mod. Looks in ok condition.....
  22. Considering the number of half wits that manage to strip the threads in frames/forks etc that are made of metal, I can't see this lasting too long.
  23. I think they have. Pretty sure when I ordered a set of Plaz pads one day it was about 4:20. Had them the next day and postage was free!!! Excellent!
  24. I've been running an Echo urban for ages now (well over a year) and its still going strong. A couple of dents but nothing major, still true and its had loads of grinds. Well worth the money if you ask me. If it does seem a bit too heavy, single walling it will help shed a bit of weight without sacrificing strength too much. Stick with a grind, these rims hold them the best, out of every rim I've ground. Edit: on the topic of tyres, you cant go wrong with the Monty Eagle Claw, super soft with a good wear rate and its very bouncy. Plus, its slightly larger than a rear Creepy
