  1. The ability to make a few people cry makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Oh my that DH bike standardization comment was too funny. I'm still laughing...actually spat out some of my Horlicks With a trials gear ratio simply your not going to be able to generate enough speed to do 90% of what bmx riders can do. Hence trails ratio limits you to trials moves, so why not keep the brakes on and ride bigger and better! If your lost what you have experienced in this and the previous posts, it is an opinion...I think brake-less trials is pointless you should just ride a bmx!
  2. Really if it wasn't for spiny trials gearing keeping riders tricks based around trials, your chalk and cheese really would hold no weight. Why is it that most brake-less trials riders are choosing to ride a smaller 24" wheel? Easier to rotate, lighter, more maneuverable....like a bmx. Your one wheel size smaller and a heavier gear away.
  3. Ali you are no doubt one of the better trials riders in England...the reality is no matter how good you are at brake-less trials you will won't come close to the better brake-less BMX riders. I'd almost rate brake-less MTB street higher than trials..barspin 360's off stairs?
  4. Brake-less BMX > Brake-less Trials There is no point.. Its a great excuse as to why you won't or can't go big or do certain tricks/moves.
  5. How's the prices comparison to Middleburn RS7's?
  6. There are some beautiful girls that ride dirt and DH...My lady is a pro freerider and DH'er, absolutely beautiful girl who outside of riding is a none stop amazement, the fact she rides and rides so well is a bonus! The scene for women on bikes in Colorado and California...OH MY!!!
  7. Take a pair of handle bars to hold onto and wear you helmet....just shut your eyes and pretend you Danny Mac.
  8. Look your going to die...that is the only one sure thing that life has I choose- have fun, enjoy life and accept this! There is 1 in 300 million chance of dying in a roller coaster accident. You have better chance of dying from heart disease, cancer, or even crossing the street. ^^^EDIT - This fact was pulled off the internet, which make is likely to be wrong....but still sums up the chances. Serious bit of advice. Get to the front of the coaster and watch the track in front of you as you go round. You will be leading with you head like a fighter pilot and it feel a bit more natural than flat out terror.
  9. It is irrational....Its a theme park, where safety is the number one aspect. The higher the level or speed, twists, turns and flips in a ride, the higher the level of safety. Its irrational to think that, your cart, your harness, your turn round the track or whatever is going to be the one that will fail. Geeeeez When I ride roller-coasters I purposefully leave the harness a little loose just to add an extra element of rush...my mind gets boarded with rides very quickly.
  10. Fear and pain are closely related in you head....in reality, usually quite far apart. If you are scared >>>Stop for a minute<<< Assess the situation, realize you are fine, not hurt. Acknowledge that it is just your mind being irrational. Then go back to what you are doing and stop being a bitch, enjoy the adrenalin rush, have fun and give it you all!
  11. What is 'I work here'? The website is very vague as what it is the company actually does. It would appear they have big clients, which suggests they/you are good at what you do...but what is it? I'm an Industrial Designer, I do a lot of freelance design and entrepreneurial design. - Furniture, lighting, landscape, products etc. My main client its OSET bikes, I do 80% 0f my work for them designing new motorbikes and bicycle ranges and improving existing. (As well as soft goods and graphic design) My portfolio.
  12. Last year the sections looked impossible..this year kinda just like a world cup round, not the Koxx days usual of testing the best riders to their limits. Back to Elite..no the super Elite.
  13. With a bit more notice I could have made it.
  14. Got my brakes...Stella Thank you Tarty Bikes!! That was a fun competition.
  15. I had a wee search of this fine establishment the TF. I'm looking for video editing software? Anybody know of any good one that are free? I used to use Premier, but have since lost that with new computers. I'd rather not pull something off a torrent search just as this is my own computer but I use it for work...don't want to risk messing it up. Cheers drink beers, Philliousfogg

    Bar Tapes

Don't do it...tapes just move, tear and come undone. I did a whole nation comp well section 3-20 with no grips because the tape failed so badly. The carbon effect is not the best feeling, its not absorbent and gets slick with its coating.
