I dunno how on earth 2 people in a house spend £600 per month on bills. Have you had a look at them? In total, our house of 5 people we used to spend - £250 a YEAR on water (between 5, so £50 each), then about £50-£70 each per QUARTER on electricity & gas. Are you helping to pay off the mortgage or something Si? As for my parents, they dont really annoy me any more. Little things used to annoy me in my earlier years but this summer they were cool as pants. (Been a long time since I used that phrase)

Im pretty certain you wont be able to take it on as hand luggage, it wouldnt fit in the little box thing they use to make sure its small enough. There should be an 'awkward luggage' bit though which they put stuff like bikes, surf boards, ski's etc in though.. Just bubble wrap it before you put it in the soft case should be fine.

You pretty much will get ID'd unless you look a lot older than you are. I get ID'd all the time over there (then again I dont look my age) A couple of years ago the story was that the police are actually trying to shut down the coffee shops, so if they get caught with underage people in them they get shut down instantly, and never reopen - so theyre pretty uptight about ID. Either way you will have fun though, its impossible not to. Tip of the day: dont look at, talk to, respond in any way to anyone on the streets trying to get your attention. Totally blank them, the second you even look at them they'll latch on.. but you'll learn that pretty quickly
