I have bought a new set of trial tech forks and when fitted with echo sl headset there is a gap of about 1mm under the bottom race of the headset. On removal and inspection it seems the seat for this race on the forks is filleted rather than squarecut. Is this normal?

f**k me that's weird, I had a Dog that died not long ago that I used to do that too. After watching blood diamond, just did it for a laugh cos her name was pig so it was funny. Strange thing is she listened better and after a while wouldn't do stuff unless I did it.

Both really. No release date hype but probably the best known trials frame in the world. I just cant bring myself to fork out for one, mostly because I am shit so cant justify it to myself enough but I am very tempted.

Not really your a web based shop which is what they have a grudge against. But I think you may be missing the point a bit. It is no good slagging the competition because they are taking ones business, one must adapt to the changing market or go down the pan. Its a pure head in the sand situation.

Is he old? I would get the LBS to true it then go back to halfords show them the wheel done properly and ask for your money back. Some LBS are dogshite as well, one particular one that is well known round here when I was building my GIANT all mountain bike, said I couldn't have post mounts on the rear of my frame and didnt know about press fit bearings even when I showed them the frame. Then when I got some V2 brakes and phoned up and asked if they had 185mm discs for V2 brakes they said 'You cant get them and even if you could they wouldn't work' and again reminded me I needed +20 Is adaptor to fit the brakes anyway (even after I had shown them the post mounts on the actual frame). This LBS complains about companies like tarty and CRC destroying LBS yet they don't up their game in face of a more efficient competition. Most stuff I order from CRC or tarty comes the next day, from Ireland and Lancashire respectively yet this LBS internet site took 2 weeks to send me an Item, from 18miles away mind.
