  1. Just letting everyone know TRA has been testing the awesome LGM compound and the TNN backings. His decided that these pads bite and hold better than any other pad his used. TRA joining the TNN team ?????
  2. I'm working on them right now and they will be available with the awesome LGM refills. So 1 to 2 weeks.
  3. Can't answer that but Tarty's will stock refills and backing later this week.
  4. Tarty's will have all my brake products in stock later this week. Complete CRM,LGM,both refills and separate backings. So no need for cross breeding pads and backings. Also these pads last so try a medium grind for maximum performance.
  5. No one knows yet. But they'd almost last forever on a smooth rim.
  6. Tarty's will have them in stock in about 2 weeks. - Do the LGMs have better bite and hold in the dry than the CRMs? OH YES - Will they last for a long time on a medium grind? YES as far as i know none of the test riders have worn out a pair yet. Le.
  7. Just like to announce. That the all new TNN LGM have been released in complete pads and refills. As tested by and loved by all of TNN test rider including Stan and Ali C. The LGM is very different to the CRM. Where the CRM give excellent modulation with great hold the LGM is a raw power pad with excellent bite and holding power. Also works well in the wet. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=136397 CRM refills will also be available and TNN backings separate as well.
  8. Keep an eye out for the new LGM (green) compound out in 1-2weeks. As tested by Stan and Ali C.
  9. Great choice mate! Tarty's has just made the first order for the LGM compound the Stan and Ali have been riding. In complete pads and refills. Basically they will stock my complete range of CRM,LGM refills, complete pads and backings. Just to give everyone the heads up here my quick review on the CRM vs LGM. CRM Yellow Excellent modulation with great holding power. Slightly spongy lever feel. Dry weather pad. LGM Green Excellent bite excellent holding power. Firm lever feel. Works in the wet. Le.
  10. Great editing! With some brave line nice work guys.
  11. We all felt sorry for you in the workshop. Being soooooo close but 0.01 grams out. bummer!
  12. If it comes loose again use some mild lock tight on the lock ring and a little on the spline itself. This will stop any movement and loosening of the lock ring.
  13. It's strange reading reviews about the CRM PADS pads been REALLY LOUD. When I'm using them there pretty quite. Anyone else got quite TNN CRM'S??
  14. Nice work Stan. Seems like the new compound is working in the wet??? Good call!
  15. Just letting everyone know that Stan and Ali C are currently testing a new green compound (LGM) which does perform in the wet. Some of Stan's comments on the new compound. Today I rode a quarry in typical UK weather, which is heavy showers and wind and it was a good chance to test the Green compound in wet conditions. Happy to say it was very good indeed. The sticky-ness to the pads seems to help the wet weather performance. Can't fault this compound at all. Regards, Stan.
  16. Most people used plain super glue but a toughen super glue is much better. Loctite 435 is excellent. Clean both part well using acetone or similar product and dry. Use just enough glue to lightly coat the mating surfaces. Once you have glued both put the braking surfaces together and lightly clamp in vice or something similar. This will give you carefree braking and more importantly the confidence to go big.
  17. It's the same as the original CRM. Your right the old CRM aren't a wet weather pad. The pad tested on the video by both of us is a prototype compound suited to all conditions. Mud,dust, wet and dry it's a great all rounder. But were still looking for something better. That's a valid point you have there. But the test is purely to show that the pad will hold together under extreme loading. And perform at 100% until the pad compound is completely worn out. The plastic backed pads don't perform so good. They tend to flex alot and are prone to uneven wear. Nothing worse than having a pad fall apart. We have had this happen when testing other pads. Mate for the CRM's I recommend a light to med SHARP grind works best for locking power and still offers some modulation. If you like more modulation run a near smooth rim and you'll have heaps. Correct!
  18. Hey Guys, Just so you know we've decided to supply refills for our backings. With detailed instructions supplied. You can expect them in store long before you wear out your original TNN CRM's.

  21. Hi guys Due to a small delay getting this post on the forum I'm gonna ex tend the competition until Sunday night. Good luck.
  22. Hi guys If you want some extra info on the pads and CRM compound history. check out http://tnnengineering.com/15701/index.html Re fills are currently unavailable but the CRM compound is very long wearing. But if demand is big enough we may reconsider refills. The reason why is. Our gluing technique is so strict. The backing cavities are sand blasted for superior adhesion. The pads are roughened on the glued faces. Both are ultrasonic cleaned and glued together with a toughened super glue under large pressure 50kgs+ until totally dry. Because of our strict gluing procedure we can guarantee the pads won't separate during riding. It's purely for safety reasons. I'm sure saving 10 pounds on a set of pads isn't worth a brake failure and possible serious injury.
  23. Giveaway TNN CRM pads are finally here! It's been a long wait but there here the TNN CRM. 24. Yeah the mounts have been machined down to suit the carbon booster. To be perfectly honest I can't feel much difference in stiffness compared with the std tube spacer and longer bolt set up. But in theory it's the best place to have it (in line with the center line of the slave cylinders.) This gets rid of any bolt flex due to long bolts and spacers. But I recon it's much better than the old skool booster set up and does have it's advantages. Less weight, less parts, easier to set up and cleaner overall look. The booster is pretty useless it's to light (28g) and the quality of carbon isn't high enough to do a really good job. But I've designed a tool (kinda like a BIG pair of over sized reversed pliers) to preload the booster outwards before clamping it in place. So the booster is under constant tension i found this made the biggest difference by far. The reason it works so well is it removes the initial flex out of the booster and gets the booster into it's stronger/stiffer range. Up there for thinking!
