  1. Because the smart guys are better forks and lite guys snap like twigs?
  2. Ok then, don't get a koxx rim because you will den't/flatsport it VERY easy... Honestly though, if i'd the money i'd ahve a ronnie or echo rim on my stock too!
  3. Got mine welded up on tuesday, seems to have done the trick... I assembled it using Dax wax hair stuff (to keep the bearings in) and i think its got all through it .... :( A question ACS related to save making a new topic: Do profiles use leaf springs like ACS freewheels? If so are they any stronger, AND if they are will the have the wee bit that goes into the whole to keep it in place?

    Maxxis Tyres!

Ahhh its looking a good now mark, just last time i seen a pic it has big blue forks... I got myself a t-pro, waiting on a bash arriving so i can ride it. Makes my big bike feel all slugish though :( I dont know what rear tyre i have, it was thrown in part of a swap... would look like im after one of them for the back before someone realises it far too cheap!

    Maxxis Tyres!

Mark, this bike of yours if awful spoilt recently... any plans for some colour co-ordination?
  6. Cheers, Was bought as a budget thing as i already had the bars. These days my wrists dont like brisa style bars so i think some risers are on the cards...
  7. Well just generally is it a high stem or a low one? I know Brisa stock stems are higher than most...
  8. Sorry got stealing the thread but I recently got a mod, I had some brisa bars so the cost effective thing was to buy a brisa stem. Would this stem be a higher rise stem or lower?
  9. I've ran koxx rims in my levelboss for a while and run a grind, this is crap to be honest. As in around one proper ride the grind has worn off. BUT the other day i bought an Echo rim for my newly built mod (cnc'd rim) and stuck a grind on it and its amazing, just like a mavic grind. A fer superior rim in my opinion. So if you can get your hands on an echo rim or an onza ronnie you will be on the right road...
  10. Its not uncommon for the boost to be wound RIGHT up though. Bit like 306, simple mod, quite a lot of power and a few miles down the road... New turbo please...

    Fatness

Ive noticed a few things in your post Alexx that have been helpful, one is the more small meals rather than eating in morning, nothing all day until around 6-7 then that would be a largish meal. Cardio exercise, what exact sort of things am i to do within this? I have been severly meaing to joing a gym but its finding the time. If you could describe any home exercise i could do, i do sit ups, pull ups and press ups but i dont know if im doing them right..

    New Saracen

Propably realised he rides a Planet-X, you know that copany that charges the same as everyone else making them really good strong frames... :-
  14. Pace forks will most likely be alloy, in this case welding on a disc mount might not be the best idea. Due to having to heat treat it and the fact that it will probably never be as strong. Along the lines of bolt on things, I have never seen or heard of one for the front.

    Front Freewheel

If you have to weld your deore out there is nothing wrong with it, good and reliable. Firstly take the axle out, this should be pretty straight forward. Next you will need a 10mm alen key. Put this down inside the freehub until it fits in place and loosen the bolt in there. This will allow you to take the freehub off. All you need to do now is take you freehub along to a welder and ask him to weld along end of it (where there is a space you can see bearings, you will need to take off the rubber seal in order to see the bearings) once he has welded it just file it flush so no bits stick out and pop it all back toether.

    Fatness

Well, Im 6ft 1 and around 15 stone. I eat fairly healthy, continous chicken, brown bread, salad and pasta etc. I very rarely would eat junk food. I have been very strict about what I eat from say July. I excercise quite a bit and develop a lot of muscle but still have a layer of fat over it so its like more exercise = more muscle = me look fatter? This layer of fat just will not go away! It stays the same no matter what. Any advice would be amazing but any wanky comments will be cut down like a confier at crimbo... Alexx? Im sure your the guy to talk to... Thanks
  18. Sorry i must be severly retarded... here is were im trying to get it but the picture isnt linked... Linky Would you have a direct link simon?
  19. I just followed the link and it said about being closed until the 1st of march?
  20. Any chance someone could upload this somewhere else? or MSN me it on a long overnight job? Would REALLY like to see it... Thanks
  21. Well i have just got 'my first mod'. Got myself an echo rear wheel (new cnc one) stuffed a grind onto it. Some new koxx bloxx. No booster and its amazing. I use a koxx rim on my stock. Grinds die in a day... Every one should get echo rims (or the onza alternative) they grind amazing. :S
  22. With the next ones be really sensative.. they dont take much abuse. You will know if its blown by looking at the small wires in the bulb, chances are they arent toughing anything if been handles roughly. l-----l l l l l Wee diagram of inside the bulb.. the dotted line should touch both sides and not be cracked etc...

    How Comes...

xc's arent cheap compared to a dmr revolver and ACS claw if you dont mind running single speed. From experiance this is twice the hub of any hope...

    How Comes...

...and the two different systems work in different ways. A kings uses pressure to push two rings together.. a hope uses outwards pressure to hold teeth into small grooves. 3 at time engage in a hope where as all of them in a king engage at once. Really cannot compare them...
