  1. I would like to point out that perving at a girl does not count as partially succeeding and it also does not count as trying to "get on" her...
  2. But remember we also don't get snow for months on end like those other countries do. If there were millions of pounds worth of snow clearing equipment sat around doing nothing apart from the 1-2 weeks per year it might get used I expect people would moan about that too!
  3. I haven't chucked you out? I was merely pointing out you have posted trials stuff in the section designed for non trials related cycling. Regardless of this I would like to point out a few things: 1 - You have used the wrong section of the forum. 2 - As Krisboats has already pointed out to you in another section of the forum you shouldn't be posting asking how much your bike is worth anyway. 3 - The rules cover all areas of the forum so if you have been told you have broken the rules why then post the same thing in another part of the forum? 4 - I am horrified you contaminated the 'Bike Chat' board with a trials bike
  4. "Bike Chat - All non-trials cycling related chat."
  5. I have Sun EQ27's on my XC/All Mountain bike and Sun EQ31's on my DH bike. I have used both bikes in the Alps and hit the rims pretty damn hard on rocks and they have held up to the abuse! http://www.sun-ringle.com/mtb/#rims
  6. I can see that a lot of thought has been put into that video! Great riding by Ali and an awesome edit from Mark (I'm assuming Mark was the main person behind the edit?) the music goes well with the riding and the filming was very interesting, some nice rolling footage too

  8. Some naughty person has already put the whole video on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-25H5gvfhs
  9. The Mission bikes didn't have tapered steerers though. At the time you were limited to 1.5" steerers with a poor selection of stems and headsets so it never kicked off. Tapered steerers have only become necessary now that long travel single crown suspension forks are being made for freeride/DH. I wouldn't want to run single crown forks with over 160mm travel without a tapered steerer! I also wonder how long it will be until trials forks are developed that use a 15mm or 20mm Maxle system...
  10. BIOS isnt too scary. Its the settings that are used to start up the computer and load up the operating system, it shouldnt be too tricky to have a quick look at. Before the computer beeps press the delete key (It will usually say something like "to access the BIOS press delete" on the screen). Once you are in the BIOS screens use the keyboard to look around the menus for things that sound like they are about auto start up and it should be simple to disable. The mouse will not do anything while in these menus, you need to use the keyboard keys to navigate around the BIOS settings, there will be a guide at the bottom of the screen telling you what each button does. Once you have made any changes follow the instructions to "Save changes and Exit". If you think you have made a mistake and changed something you shouldnt have you can easily "Exit without saving changes" and then try again.
  11. I had a 1.5" FSA Pig headset on my DH bike before I stripped it and fitted tapered forks with a less offensive headset. Yes thats 1.5 inches of monster FSA Pig Headset for upper and lower cups! I'm afraid I threw the 1.5" Pig headset cups in the bin shortly after removal, otherwise I would have posted them to the Tarty Bikes HQ for you to use as paper weights Not sure if it would be used on trials bikes but Cane Creek have recently released the AngleSet which allows you to adjust the head angle of a 1.5" steerer bike by +/- 0.5 to 1.5 degrees. The Cane Creek AngleSet is being supplied on some 2011 complete trail bikes. A similar product has been available at K9 Industries for a while however its limited to just 1 1/8 steerer forks. Modern DH bikes have 61-64 degree head angles (In its slackest setting the new new Commencal DH bike is 61.2 degrees!) so people are using these angle reducing cups on older frames to slacken them off.
  12. Minor I know but I think you should make it clearer that the bottle is 300ml, its only currently shown on the images...
  13. No animation in Firefox 3.6.12 or IE 8 on an XP Machine with JavaScript enabled It works in Safari and Chrome though and it did make me smile (Although I personally think some of the snowflakes are falling too quickly hehe)
  14. You work in a rubbish bike shop then...
  15. Sarcasm does not work over the internet. If someone is asking a mechanical question in here and you are going to be a dick don't bother posting. Lets hope he does not wreck his frame because of you!
  16. Don't listen to this. If you use a hammer to fit a headset you are unlikely to fit it straight and there is also a good chance you will wreck the frame! Get a bike shop to fit it using the proper tool! Pressing headset cups into frames is one of the only jobs I get the local bike shop to do for me...
  17. Sorry Dave I will rephrase that to keep you happy... LHM can be purchased in car places like Halfords for less money than it would cost you to buy Shimano or Magura Mineral Oil.
  18. Have you actually used it though? Gotta love it when people recommending something that isn't even available yet I have used LHM Mineral Oil in Magura and Shimano brakes for years and its fine, like Nick says you can get hold of it cheaply in car places like Halfords. I Love this time of the year when everyone complains their brakes have frozen, what do you expect if you bleed brakes with water?!!!
  19. It was good, but its not like the 'normal' bike films, it was a well produced film based around cycling. If you want arty shots with good filming and production definitely buy it. If you want crazy biking like you would find in Kranked and NWD films I would say borrow it from a friend.
  20. That. Was. Beautiful. Not a normal bike film at all! Whenever you get to see it make sure you watch it with an open mind. There are more arty shots than there is riding footage but the filming and production is phenomenal
  21. You should lubricate nipples when building a wheel. Who needs Adam when you have the Sheldon Brown website? Sheldon Browns Wheel Build Guide "Spoke threads and spoke holes in the rim should generally be lubricated with light grease or oil to allow the nipples to turn freely enough to get the spokes really tight. This is less important than it used to be due to the higher quality of modern spokes, nipples and rims, but it is still a good practice."
