The thing is such a low quality makes the riding look a lot less impressive. I´ve seen gilles live and it was shocking, this vid makes him look like amateur compared to what he is capable of and that´s just because of stupid angles and choppy quality. It´s not hard to understand, just watch 2011kd tribalzine vid and compare it to this or the previous vid, it´s day and night difference.

Yeah even with a downhill tube it´s easier to pinch them than DK with superlight tube and the weight is pretty much the same with this setup. Not really worth it. Edit: In fact even with freeride tube sticky lite is heavier than DK+superlight tube(schwalbe 130g).

Yeah clear pads like inspired/onza/oddysey are good on smooth, but you have to keep you rim totally clean, at least if you don´t use tar it´s a necessity. If there´s even small amount of dust on your rim, performance decreases rapidly.

Avid sd 7 lever,deore calipers, linear slick cable(aligator super fortress), rockman blues...Best brake setup,period.

Hmmm,I´m sure pads which are designed to withstand 400 degrees cesius will be just fine if you burn them. But I agree new pads are the ultimate solution, new rotor isn´t necessary.

I can imagine spokes beeing ripped out of the hub flange with 2x crossed spokes.

At least on the disc side I would go for 3x...
