  1. NO. I'm not agree again. First of all, I don't have 2 rims to ride in wet "Grind" and in dry "Smooth". Moreover, for me, brake holds better with grind rim in all conditions, wet and dry. I'm agree with you that tar in wet conditions it turns like lube but in dry conditions grind with tar it's the best choice. Obviously in wet conditions you don't have to put tar. And now we can continue speaking about the bike, I don't want ruin the topic speaking about tar.
  2. I would never do that. Just my opinion.
  3. This is the first Echo SL free-wheel that I know that skip. I have one and after 3 months still works perfect and sounds amazing. I going to follow this topic. Please Franksx2005 post anything that you'll do with this free-wheel and if it continue skipping after service. Thanks.
  4. Excuse-me, I'm not agree with this... I use both and hold awesome.
  5. No not are easier, no better, no worse, different.
  6. AHAHAHA!! I'm 31 years old and i remember those days perfectly. I had a friend with this Monty T 215 full vee and we spend our evening time trying to do rear wheel hops, this was and super high class technique Was pretty cool ...........
  7. Ok I believe it. No more questions.
  8. This is quite strange, I never lose the sound of my coust after 2 years of use and two pairs of pads. Are your pads dirty or your rim with some dust? Try to clean it, specially rims, with alcohol. Sure? I sanded mi pads at least 2 times and never lose their sound neither. Maybe because i use a litle line of tar.
  9. I changed my front hub just last week and was my first wheel too. The balance it's "perfect" with just only a guide to see how much straight are your wheel, or not, only a piece of plastic attached to the fork, and a spokes tool. And obviously time, it's just you need.
  10. Half link = die. KMC have a good balance between weigh and resistance.
  11. I have the same problem with my new Echo Sl. In some part of spin is a little locked, nothing serious but.............
  12. N.Wood, maybe if we cross some spokes on the non disk side we can do the group more stronger... ? That's right, If your are a hard rider and BUB last long one year it's enough to convince me.
  13. Yes. Nowadays Rockman BUB it's my option. Or maybe Monty... Do you have your spokes crossed in both sides? And with H hub and BUB? Which hub do you have now? Thanks
  14. Yes mate, this is another idea. Hs or vee in front, but forks are really expensive, sadly my frork only have the disk option. Maybe if i find some buyer for my fork and magura louise brake.... Other thing that scare me is the poor modulation of hs or vee because i use to ride in natural. But yes, is another idea.. Thanks!
  15. Yes, it's my fail, Echo CNC is in 32 like trialtech, then is not an option. The only options in 28 are Monty Rockman or Try-all?
  16. Thank you Onzaboymark! You are allways there!! Some questions, Why Echo's can be the ideal front hub for me? Here in Spain whe can buy Echo's for 28h in CNC, but a litle bit heavy, 198 gr.. What about trialtech sport and race? Race looks heavy but strong. Maybe I have to cross mores spokes than i have now. Now In left side the spokes don't have crosses!! I Think that this is the reason because my hub snapped......
  17. Hello again! Now I'm writing because my try-all "H" front hub died yesterday doing transitions to front wheel Just i'm starting to do this with small stuff, this is because i can't understand why he die.....The waranty finished 2 months ago. :( Maybe the problem of Try-all H is this ring, to slim to absorve disk power... In your expert opinion, Which hub can be strong enough with disk? Rockman? Echo SL / TR? Monty? NO TRY ALL AGAIN PLEASE. Characteristics: 28h for mod and disk. Thanks for your opinion.
  18. Is the best way although you should be careful applying pressure, just a little bit, if not you'll apply to much tar...
  19. Echo SL freeweel AMAZING!!

  20. God bless the helmet............

    Rim Tar

I can believe it. The tar can be found at any hardware store or building under construction at a very low price, even for free, I don't understand how people can buy specific tar for "biketrial" when all of these tars works.
  22. Try an Spanish dealer Link here: http://www.al4bikes.com/b2c/index.php?page=pp_productos.php&tbusq=9&codf=90&md=1&codm=2%3BMONTY#iprod
  23. If it let you ride backwards without needing to pedal...... in the same way, it don't let you ride forward although you pedal.........
