good point lol i will piss myself if thats what is wrong. only cause i before have spent half hour trying to figure out a brake problem only to find out that the bolt was too tight
-
I will have another go at explaining this, may help anyone with the same problem. Basically this is how you fix a stiff master cylinder (stiff lever) 1. First of all you need to remove the lever blade from the body. 2. Next you need to remove the piston and spring from the lever body. this can be done 2 ways a. attach a pump to the end of the hose as shown in the second picture and just pump untill the piston pops out. (be carefull as with the air pressure the piston can fly out quite quickly) b. with the brake still on the bike attach a syringe filled with fluid to the bleed point on the slave, and force the fluid through the system this should pop your piston out of your lever body. (ensure yourpads are hitting your rim before you use this method so as not to damage your slave cylinders) You now should have a piston and spring in your hand as shown in the first picture. 3. Remove the rubber o-ring from the piston so it doesnt get damaged. 4. Sand a tiny bit of your piston all the way round ( above and below where you o-ring would be) only do a little bit each time and keep checking for a correct fit. 5. Once you have a good fit give every thing a good clean and lube. 6. Give your spring a little stretch 7. Pop everything back together 8. Give the system a good bleed (ensure your tpa is fully wound of before starting to bleed) This should solve your problem, if you need any more help give me a shout

sounds like we have found the problem then you need to get your master cylinder out of the lever blade lube it up, pop it back in and it should be fine
-
i think what your desribing (could be wrong) is a stiff master cylinder them you pull the lever in towards the bars does it spring back out freely?
-
il probably come if theres a few people going
-
from what i can see when i have done it, its the actual plastic piston that swells, i have no idea why its just seems to happen over night. a tip is to remove the rubber o ring (seal) when you sand the piston as you dont want to damage it
-
i had this problem a couple of times, the lube etc only seems to work for a while. take the master piston out of the lever, remove the seal, and sand a tiny bit of the piston, keep refitting every now and again to ensure you havn't taken to much of. once you'r happy lube up again and refit and you should have a nice light lever feel

im 5 11 but alot of peolpe have liked the high front end that are around the same height

i changed from a tarty stem to a tryall 3D mod stem on my control short and it made the cockpit much more comfortable and spacious Try-all mod stem 150x30 looks a little silly but is really comfortable to ride

lubricate your pistons and give it a fresh bleed should be reet

stunning bike mate really love that
-
urbans with a vee booster just to make sure
-
i think thats what everyone is saying about the trialtechs, but i have also heard everyone saying how strong the urbans are, and with a proper v mount i would imagine that area will be stronger due to the dedicated mount. also they are only 85 quid urbans are my next move once my kots give up
-
in a trials bike the fluid barely heats up if at all, so its totally fine. If im honest i have had more problems with using mineral oil than i have with water. but like everything else it just down to personal preference.
-
if they dont know about the adaptors they cant refuse a warranty claim, i would just go for some v specific urbans
-
I use water in my magura, it gives the lever a much nicer feel and quicker response, lots of people have used water for years with no problems
-
Thanks for advice mate, scrap that idea then lol So der kaisers dont really fit that well either?
-
Good evening to all. I have found a place to get 26x2.70 maxxis high rollers but before I order I want to make sure if they will fit in my frame has anyone tried this or know if it will fit? The frame is an Echo Control 09 Thanks in advance
-
the rim you had in the link is a 20" so thats wrong for a start, and as for the hub i would go for the echo tr 116mm
-
is it a 19" or 20" rear wheel
-
what bike do you have at the minute and are you running a front freewheel
-
well done lad you are improving from your last video keep it up
-
like muel said. because someone has taken the removal tabs off, you need to completely take the freewheel to pieces until you are left with just the bit that screws onto the crank, then clamp it in a vice, slide a large pole over the crank arm and turn it.
