Thanks for the help guys. Tried it with less spacers and tried the brake on a different pin hole placement but now the springs are too weak to pull out again :/ I guess next thing to try is an extra link in the chain. I guess it doesnt help that my outer is still about 1ft too long

Heya, FINALLY sorted everything out for a rear vbrake and I've come accross a problem... I'm hoping it can be fixed? Pictures will show whats wrong.

I've used a friends echo and to be honest It feels fine. Ali C has even commented before saying that they work fine although some need cleaning prio to first use.

You can downgrade it but It's not for anyone computer retarded... If you feel you can do it then try it, links can be found on google.

It will work but why not just get the sd7 speed dial lever? Its got somthing similar to a tpa for fine adjustment and costs less.

Toothed cams from monty are only £7, not really breaking the bank ;D I doubt DIY toothed would be very good to be honest... As for placement, outside for 116mm spaced hubs and inside for 110mm hubs

I hope thats the echo team with the oval shapes near headtube... If it is then its the same as mine and looks sexy. I've only got 165mm cranks on atm and fine it fine although I wouldnt mine going 170 possibly 175... It's personal preferance, find what works best for you

Mine does that when dry and wet although its only if I modulate the brake rather than full lock.... It still has insane power though.
