Just started my last year at uni and what with the winter drawing near and the first installment of my student loan on the way it seems a good time to bulk up my DVD collection. I'm looking for some suggestions of all time classic films that I need in my life. I like all the usual thriller type stuff like Fight Club, Memento, Donnie Darko etc but welcome suggestions for anything thats really good. I'll start with ones that I have already thought about purchasing...... The content, tone and attitude of posts on here is certainly a lot different to the days when I used to be on here all the time (wow that makes me sound old ) Because I'm not on here 24/7 the change is a lot more obvious to me as I haven't been able to just get used to it. Perhaps because you are on here so often you haven't noticed this change so much? A few years ago pretty much 90% of the posts in threads such as the show us a picture of your gf" thread or whatever would result in a warning. Like someone else has said the lack of moderation has meant people have got used to being able to get away with smutty/cocky/abusive posts, so now all of a sudden its a big shock that warnings are being thrown around left right and centre. The whole crack down, not this case in particular- I think its about time really as standards have to be set somewhere and we all know what happens when forums go un-moderated (trialskings ahem) None of the stuff I read offends me personally, but it just gets a bit boring when every other post you read is like it. at the moment if Chitchat were a magazine it would be Nuts.

Oh dear its happened again. Better lay off the sugar based drinks for a while. At least if Im drinking beer its more likely that I will get home and simply pass out. However, Sugar based drinks + Trials Forum = (see above).

I have consumed alcoholic beverages which has left me in a state of inebreation. I ventured into a discoteque and danced to many tubthumping beats. With a little bit of care I appear to be able to type to a reasonable standard- go me! Vodka redbull however is a very evil, evil child. Its like Chucky from the rugrats... he's evil... well he is ginger- similar i guess..... to an extent. Sugar based drinks do serve a purpose though and I will drink to that. Sure they may not be the most manly of drinks, but at least they keep you dancing like Bez from the Happy Mondays, In a drunken "I think I look cool" when really I just look like a drunken tool state. But in that moment in time you are like John Travolta as the rest of the dance floor looks on in admiration, with a simple nod of the head they all think "wow i wish i could be as cool as him". But they cant... they have a rare but potent form of aids. Its fatal. So they can go suck on a lemon. so yeah.... erm i dont know where i am going with this. good bybe

Im working through a temp agency (OSR- its a local one) for a big insurance company. Its good because its nice and flexible unlike a full time job. Its only one weeks notice if you want to leave which is good but then it can work the other way and they can get rid of you quickly and easily. The average pay around my area (Norwich) is £5.50 for office work, although Im on £6.50 because Ive temped at the same place for a few years now. Bournemouth should be slightly higher though I'd imagibe so probably £5.50 - £6. I wouldnt want to work for any less than that really. Be careful though as some agencies will try and take you for a ride as temps rights are a bit of a grey area/ not many people know the rules. You should be entitled to normal holiday pay once youve been there for 13 weeks I think- so dont let them try and fob you off about it.

He wasnt drinking at the time (as far as i can remember). Probably busy dreaming up Tartybikes and how he wouldnt react to an angry Dave- but instead opt for a jaffa cake and a slumber.

I can imagine that if a Tartybike based confrontation were to arise Adam would back down, have a jaffa cake and then take a nap. By the second night of the SM pissup he was a sleep in the bar by 9pm- Im not sure if he is crazy enough to take it to Dave. He would give it the "who is this company named after ? I think you'll find I'm right and you're wrong" and retire to his tartybike hammock for a well earned rest. Sorry Adam evidence no.1- evidence no.2- can you really imagine Adam in a hulk style explosion of aggression?

Jeez, you ask a simple question in this place..... As has already been said, it would be bloody annoying to pay £180 on a new mp3 player only to find out that x weeks later a newer better (the function of it not fashion) comes out for the same price. I just want to get the most out of my money- common sense really? For christ sake i probably will be buying the current model anyway! Im not that bothered- but for the sake of a few minutes of my time asking a simple question on here just to see if anything new was coming out, why the hell not? I really cant be bothered to type any more on the subject. Im closing the thread because it has gone some what off topic.

They cost £180 and Apple make multi million dollar profits from them- so what? They are a company thats what companies do. Name me a product that isnt over priced? Yes, they cost about £10 or whatever to make, but add onto that their whopping great big advertising budget which needs recouping and suprisingly they have to charge more. Why is this exclusive to Apple and the Ipod? Samsung, Sony and Creation 30gb mp3 players are all very similar prices. Im not particularly pro Apple or anything, but I find it just as annoying when people constantly bash them as the wow kids that parade their ipods saying "look at me". I like Itunes and I like my ipod but I've run out of memory. I want a new one and dont want to buy one only to find a better model comes out a few weeks later- whats so difficult about that? Why does it have to spiral into an anti Apple thread.

Once when doing my weekly shop in Sainsburys and when confronted with the meat aisle, I didnt choose the small portion ofchicken..... I went for the medium. Its tough living on the edge.
