  1. Themed fancy dress barcrawl or pub golf are both great nights out. Hippy theme or mexican theme for example. Split your mates up into teams, then set different drinking challenges at each bar and penalty shots too. For example each team lines up and starting from the first member they have to down a pint, and the next person cant begin until the guy/girl before has finished, and so on until the last member finishes. The team that comes last then has to do a shot. left hand drinking, no swearing etc are others (Get caught breaking the rules and its shot time). Then keep a scorecard and note down each teams score for every bar challenge, until you are all too drunk to remember about it, by which time it wont really matter The fancy dress element is cool because you get so many cars beeping at you (probably shouting wanker too but who cares ) when there's a massive group of hippys or golfers or whatever bounding down the road pub to pub. Good fun to look silly. Just some ideas from personal experience of whats been the best nights out on peoples birthdays. I know its not a party but I can assure you its a great laugh and a good idea.
  2. Tricks and stunts was the first video I ever saw and a big inspiration in kick starting my riding. So many classic quotes in old videos like T&S, Chainspotting, Evolve etc, which is something missing from todays short internet videos. Hawzee's advice on drop offs, in one of the comical dummy on a bike sections: "push the front in..... lean forward" or something similar anyway
  3. A groinal shaving related thread. Another first for Trials Forum - at the forefront of the worlds most topical issues. I'd guess that now you've gone through with it you will just have to grin and bare it and wait for it to grow back. Then never speak of it again.
  4. Dressed up as ghostbusters and wreaked havoc in the library (yesterday anyway). Feels great to be finished but Im supposed to be doing a 12 month placement starting in the summer but I have absolutely nothing lined up
  5. I voted oldskool, but I guess thats because the black and white days were when Trials was pretty much my life, I rode every day i could, when I wasnt riding I was thinking/ chatting about Trials on t'internet,. Nowerdays I have other priorities in my life and Trials is by no means number one anymore. I wouldnt necessarily say that my falling interest was because of a change in the scene, more just a change in lifestyle. Having said that though, the comp scene does seem pretty shitty from what I have read compared to the fairly laid back ones I entered around 2000-2001. Im not saying that its definitly like that as I havent been to a comp in ages, but the petty squables and conflict I read about on here doesnt bode well. I'd be interested to hear newer riders views on the old skool scene (from videos pics they've seen) and I can imagine that to them it all looks really lame. The riding standard was no where near as good but the scene was small but together. I know what you mean about the shock of seeing another Trials rider about and then more often than not being able to go up to them and have a good chat. Does that still happen anymore? I havent been on a big ride for too long

  7. Cool sounds like you'll have an amazing summer then. Which countries are you going to? are you backpacking or going for a bit more luxury? sounds expensive either way but sure it will be worth it. I'd love to go travelling again oh and how you getting on with sponsorship money Tom for the mongolian trip?
  8. for me the summer starts on Thursday after my last exam. It will be straight down the pub for an all day session to celebrate/ comiserate what has been some pretty awful exams for myself Ghostbusting will be thrown into the melting pot too which should be fun. Hippy bar crawl on Saturday. Probably go out for a few Mon and Tues then come back home to the North Norfolk area on Wed. After that it will be lots of depressing temp work to pay off my overdraft, and possibly starting a 12 month placement any time between July - September. In between that will be V Festival, Chilli Peppers and Cromer Carnival!
  9. I've warned you about this before. Just concentrate on your own posts and getting validated yourself instead of taking time out to criticise other peoples posts. Stop trying to be a moderater all the time, it really isnt helping your own chances, infact quite the opposite.

    Big Brother

yeah thats the one unfortunately Great person to represent my area. Oh and Tic or whoever said that Pete is putting it on- A girl in my seminar group has sat next to him in the waiting room for a tanning salon () and he was shouting wanker, whistling, acting hyperactive and scaring people then. So if he is putting it on then he has been doing it for a while. Im pretty sure that he geniounly suffers from Tourettes. He works (or used to at least) at Fatboy Slims club Concorde2 in Brighton collecting bottles.
  11. All these Trials DVD's coming out Good luck with the project look forward to watching it. Any chance you could avoid filming the usual spots in London and Bristol as mentioned above, just because I've seen it all so many times. Brum and Leeds sounds good because not seen the spots so often in videos. Basildon is ace too

    Big Brother

We shall see. Even from some of their enterances though and just from what they were saying to themselves when they walked down the stairs. Sesar the entrepreneur guy for example, in the most arrogant sounding self loving manner "yer its Sesars palace"..... TWAT. My attempts not to get involved and miss the bilge fest is going well so far!

    Big Brother

I watched most of it last year cos one of them was in my class at school and I wanted to see him being a twat on tele. Which he managed easily. I watched the first one tonight just to see what they are like but dont want to get sucked in. It is trashy crappy tv and its very addictive once you start watching a few of them So far they all seem like a complete bunch of knobs and full of themselves, even more so than last year. A few hotties on there which is always good at least They are all pretty bloody annoying though and its only been the first show! The mental one is from Brighton, now theres a suprise.
  14. sorry I dont spend my life on the internet to see every fake scam involving Barry chuckle or..... Bill Oddie Was that on here or another fake news page? Linkage?

    Lheman

er it was ten men against eleven They had one less striker up there so it was almost impossible to hold it up there. Barcelona are hard enough to play with 11 on the pitch let alone a man sent off. They played bloody amazing considering the circumstances. Just didnt quite have enough at the end.
  16. Family Guy Series 4 DVD Upgrade my Ipod to a new shiney one Short Circuit on DVD Bananaman T-shirt A badger costume Ghostbuster props A (decent) job for my placement A Get out of jail free card Barry Scott to clean the bathroom and my wide array of pennys For my exams to be over so I can get lashed.
  17. Why should you never kiss a stupid midgit? Because its not big and its not clever.
  18. I havent checked this thread since it was first made, and when I noticed it was onto page number three I was a bit shocked. Cos how to cook pasta is probably right up there with how to boil an egg I was thinking maybe Tart could produce a Pasta cooking how to video, showing the step by step stages with running commentary. Partz get some raw action man bow tie pasta down you
  19. The Thrills- Big Sur Jingly Jangly summer tune. As soon as i hear it i think of lieing in the sun on a golden beach somewhere, kicking back.

    Tonight.

I will be revising What a fun night this is going to be.
  21. Great stuff! Was wicked when he turned that bouncers £5 note into a £20 and blagged himself in for free! He blagged himself into pretty much everywhere.
  22. I see so many of them about where I live, but then I am on the edge of a pikey council estate. One house has four on the car, plus one huge flag in the garden and an england stickers plasted everywhere. I wouldnt do it even if i did have a car- we are in england so doesnt really require a flag to let people know who you support. And yes it has been hijacked by racists/ xenephobes, or at least thats what comes to mind everytime i see a flag. Im sure most people dont mean it like that, but cant help but think that way!
  23. Bollocks bollocks bollocks I just got a letter through the door saying that i have a compulsory meeting about work placement on 31st May. If I dont go then I cant do a placement. So i have to stay in Brighton until then meaning im missing all the rides Gutted. I was really looking forward to riding too!
